As an aside, the Saints haven't had a good offense in years, and the Ravens aren't any better contenders than the Cowboys are, when healthy.

Cowboys need a Kyle Shannahan style of offense with the players we have.

On defense you just want something that makes offenses work for what they get because the rules don't allow you to play real defense anymore. You just do the best you can and hope the opposing offense screws it up somehow.

ONLY if he can figure out how to institute a ball control facet into his system.

It's no accident that his last two super bowl appearances ended w/ huge comebacks against his gassed D's. Scoring quickly is great and all, but it completely wipes out your D. This is one thing that has always been true(See Houston Oilers, 1993. 92 season.)

Oh, and isn't it great that the guy who led that comeback now coaches the Colts?

I've seen it multiple times...

Teams are winning in the Super Bowl and they just have to make the game about their QB for some reason and show him off instead of running the ball.

They can't let MArshawn Lynch, Devontae Freeman, ect... Go home as the MVP. It has to be the QB so we get pass happy for no reason.

Possession of the football is far and away the best defense.. If you score points along with possessing the ball then opposing offenses have to start forcing things and when they start forcing things mistakes happen.

Winning time of possession helps. But you either have a good D or you dont. Getting down by 10 in the first quarter because your defense cant stop anyone is going to hurt your offense. Then the offense has to be one dimensional because your defense sucks. Then that is where the high passing numbers come from.

The simple solution is to improve your defense, not change your offense because your defense sucks.

Tom Brady started off w/ Arians' high flying downfield passing game. And Brady was getting pounded. Would not have lasted the season. And wasn't winning. So, TB changes to a Bradyesque type O, and suddenly starts winning. D suddenly gets better. And Brady is in the super bowl.

If TB does not change up their O, they would absolutely not be where they are today. Not even close. Prolly wouldn't have made playoffs.

Stopping the opposing offense is the best defense. If your worried about your defense then score some points with your offense early and get a lead. Brady made a living out of possessing the ball with the passing game.
