Houston will never accept Prescott, Cooper, and Elliott for Watson. Never. No one wants those three players with their present contracts.
I team that felt it had the other elements to win it all might do that deal, but the Cowboys would be stupid to give up that much talent for him anyway. Watson might be able to replace Dak, but he can't replace Zeke and Cooper too. Even if the team felt Zeke and Cooper were expendable, why wouldn't they pay Dak and trade Zeek and Cooper to fill other needs?

What I want from our DBs is not just the threat of being able to intercept the ball, but also the threat that they can take it to the house as well. That kind of threat means that the QB is even less likely to test that side of the field. As Diggs improves and with a CB like Horn from South Carolina or Surtain on the other side, the QB is not going to have a lot of options. One wrong move with the ball, and it's 6 the other way. That'd be a nice thing to see.
yep..Farley, Horn or Surtain gives us that db that is capable to getting the int and going to the house. We dont really have that right now...MAYBE Diggs..but he is more of a physical guy..not a ball hawk.

The texans are awful on a diff. level lol...they are being ran like a D league...or like a Highschool type deal. Its really embarrassing. Watson knew this however when he signed that fat contract months ago. I would make him stay honestly. Houston didnt suddenly start being ran poorly after he signed lol..SO HE KNEW what he was getting into 100%.

Oh, I agree with you. I guess my point is that if part of Watson's unhappiness is wanting more of a say in how the organization operates and who it hires, then Dallas is not the place for him.

also..TUF is a cool name..lol..sounds like a real football players name. We gotta address linebacker no doubt. We are woeful there. But it must start in the trenches..interior dline, MLB, SAFETY. That is where we are woefully soft...right up the guts of the D..all the way back to safety. WILSON is the lone bright spot back there. He proved to be a beast, a playmaker. Imagine how good our safeties will be if we land another good one next to him. Xavier Woods just stinks and has to go. He shouldnt be starting..plus..he's lazy. Cant coach anyone thats lazy.

That it does lol. I like the name! And yes, I agree that Woods needs to go. I'd love for us to land another monster safety. Imo, after we sign Dak, we need to use the rest of our cap space of the best S that we can find in FA. Not a bargain dweller S either. I mean the best one available. Then, go CB, DT, and LB imo in no particular order but in the first 3 picks. Doing that will mean a world of difference to our defence.

I think Diggs can be that, but I don't mind having a physical CB on one end and a ball hawk like Farley, Horn, or Surtain on the otherside. Throw it to one side, and your WR is going to get destroyed if he even manages to catch it. If you throw it to the other side, it's going to the other endzone.

Was he told that he would have input on the hiring of the next GM and HC at that time? The reports said he was told that at some point and I am assuming that was part of the sell on him extending.

To top that off, the best D player on the team is calling out his teammates for their lack of effort and heart during the season. HOU is a cluster and the only thing they have going for them is Watson and Watt, who showed up after the flood and endeared the fandom to them.

If you had agreed to terms with your employer 4 months ago but when it came time for them to carry out part of those terms, they reneged, how would you feel? They refused to even interview Eric Bienemy.

McNair is a mess. The 3 most popular players on the team, one is already gone to AZ, the other wants to be traded and the 3rd one we haven't heard from yet.
yes you are right BUT HE TOOK THE DEAL, HE TOOK THE RISKS, AND THE CASH. This is just how it goes sometimes. Yes..Houston is a major ***** up mess. I don't blame the guy for saying I want out, but he has an opportunity to really prove if he is elite or not... He could have an MVP year and change everything in Houston...but instead he is quitting on them. Once he said what he did, its over...the tooth paste is outta the tube. Best fit for him Ii still say was Houston. He is beloved down there, as is Watt. I can actually see Watt coming to Dallas on a 2 year deal. That would be a game changer for this defense.

in negotiations, both sides embellish and tell some white lies..its stinks but its the way it goes. Both sides took risks.

I'd be happy to have Derwin James. He's a great option, though he was injured last season. However, if he's healthy, I would be excited for us to take him. He would help solve the S problem.

One safety that I'd like is Anthony Harris from the Vikings. He's apparently a FA, and he's a good safety. He's 29, but he's a solid option and a damn good player. Putting him next to Wilson provides 2 benefits. One, he's a good safety so he'd fill that void that Woods will leave. Two, he's an experienced player that Wilson would do well to learn from. Another option I like is John Johnson III from the Rams. He was hurt in 2019, but had a nice season last year. He's only 25. If we can get him, we could have 2 good young safeties. According to https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-2021-free-agency-top-100-free-agents, " he’s an elite safety when healthy. His greatest contribution is also the most important one, as he’s a truly dominant cover safety when called upon. His 85.6 coverage grade ranked fourth among safeties during the regular season, marking the third time in four seasons he was at or above 84.9." That'd be nice to have at S for us. And he knows one of our coaches.

Wish he'd come to Carolina.

He would make all the difference on that Panthers team. Teddy Two Gloves ain't it.
Teddy plus Carolina’s 1st?

fwiw, CBS’ latest mock has Stafford to Carolina.
Just a mock though

If you think I said they were better than you aren't qualified to comprehend anything above a 1st grade reading level.
You said "Just as good" which is just as ridiculous as saying better, so it really doesn't matter which phrasing you used.

The groups aren't comparable.

A Watson led team had a 24 point lead against KC and lost by 20

No way I trade for him
Oh Ok so he had to score all the points with a suspect OL and go out and stop the Chiefs as well with Bill O'Brien making mind numbing calls too. OH OK I got you yeah he's super overrated then LMAO
