It wont affect this years draft, but unless they make at least the NFC title game next year, draft day is gonna hurt some.

they’ve recently been to the sb, so I don’t see how anything short of a sb win is a success for them

That's what I thought! They haven't had a 1 since drafting Goff. Such an idiotic trade! Hey Rams, you might want to have a first every now and then. IT might help.

They are and have been on the mix these past couple of years..

And if Stafford is what they hope, they are a powerhouse team with a great Coach, great QB,and a beast defense with their core signed for at least the next 2 years.

The Bucs looked like fools by signing a 40 year old QB but look what that got them.

The NFL isnt like the NFL of the 70s and 80s where you could build teams and progress year by year..
In todays NFL, you have a 3 to 4 year window and its time to blow the team up or stay in purgatory like we've been.

A duel role between a journeyman RB who was cut by one or two teams that same season and the leagues highest paid RB shouldn’t occur or does that prove why it’s so dumb to pay RB’s that much money?

You don’t pay attention to what guys do off the field? Lol, so I guess all the times you defended zeke’s off the field behavior wasn’t really you, someone just hacked your computer. YOU ARE A LIAR!
Yeah I think somebody hacked my accounts lol....

Sign Dak and put him on the open market immediately.

Why?

Best thing the team can do is use the non exclusive FT and see if he's really worth what he thinks he is..

If Jerry had half a brain, this is the way to go.

Think about it, he would be getting less than the 37 M people are throwing out as his salary for the year and it would let the NFL know his real value.

If a team signs him we get 2 first rounders and save the money to spread around..

If no other team signs him, we get him cheap this year and unless he goes off and gets MVP and a SB his demands have to come down significantly as he knows no other teams value him as much.

The only reason we didnt go this route last year was because the team wanted to avoid "bad blood" with Dak but we are beyond all that at this point in time.

Jerry, please!! Use your head and not your heart on this one we beg you!! Learn from the Rams and Eagles Mistakes!

You mean, Dak has refused to sign Jerrys offer.
:D

If only Dak had gotten off his couch 5 minutes earlier, he would have been signed by now.

Dak even tried calling Jerry himself but Jerry was surprisingly "unavailble" to answer Dak's call as time expired and the time for negotiations was over.

Kinda makes you think doesn't it?

So the word is that multiple teams offered to trade no QB but this year’s 1st (Ill assume non top 5) pick.
The Rams didn't have a 1st but had Goff and two future 1sts, so the Lions took it.

I suppose, but giving up 2 first rounds is very steep, especially for a QB at Stafford's age. I wouldn't do it. I'd have Dot smash me with a mallet (please don't Dot) before I do that.

Stafford in heaven.

  • Leaving the last ranked total and scoring defense
  • Joining the 1st ranked total and scoring defense
Also big upgrades with the overall offensive lines, WR corps, and play callers

I like Dak but I'd take that all day every day. That would be enough capital to get a qb and build a defense.

Half or more of 1st round picks for QBs don't work out. And in this case you are talking picks at the bottom of round 1. Very very rare to find a franchise QB there.

Which brings up one question we're all thinking but as usual you look to your leader to ask it.

If that was the asking price for Stafford why didn't the Cowboys do it?

Pffft.
Because Dak isn’t under contract and can’t be traded?
