Goff is better than Matt Stafford?
Come on! That's lunacy

I question your ability to judge QBs as independent players.
In insert Stafford--even as a 32-year-old--on the Rams and they are better. There is not doubt in my mind
thats your opinion.
not mine.
stafford cant stay healthy and doesnt make his team better.
he has been a good...not great...qb.
goff is younger.
more durable.
and to my eyes....has a better arm and release.
if Dak walks and you tell me we trade for our qb...im trading for goff...or trying to...before stafford.

Goff isn't as bad as some people claim but Stafford is clearly a better QB. If people fail to see/understand this then they just don't understand football. That sounds so patronising...but it's true.

he can't stay healthy.
but yes.
i think goff is a better qb.
better arm.
better release.
better decision maker.
my opinion.
not yours.
Stafford can't stay healthy?
He has missed less games than Dak Prescott over the past ten years!

Fan club? You claimed that Stafford can't stay healthy when he is one of the most durable quarterbacks in the NFL.
ok.
and.
how's he done in the play-offs.
how has he made detroit better.
me saying he can't stay healthy is on me.
but how has he elevated his team around him.
i'll take goff.
i'll take Dak over both.

Detriot have been a dumpster franchise and he has faced Aaron Rodgers twice a season.
To me it's similar to people claiming Tannehill was a terrible QB when in reality it was about the conditions around him. Suddenly at the Titans he has looked very good and won play off games - Stafford is better than him.
It does amuse me that the one time Prescott is injured, the QB filling in had to play with the third strong offensive line! haha. It is hilarious really the way he still gets help to look better than he actually is even when he isn't playing.

i never said he was terrible.
he's a very good..but not great...qb.
i still say...right now...goff is better.
and i still say Dak is better than both.
but you are right about his durability.
i was wrong on that.
i was remembering his knee injury then shoulder....but he came back and didnt miss a snap.
i thought he had.

who knew the matt stafford fan club makes its home on a cowboys message board.
I think you're really underestimating Stafford.
It's you're right to do so, but I think you are looking at Detroit as a team and equating it to him.

You could probably flip it. How did Detroit ever even make the playoffs with those garbage rosters?
They did have a great D in 2014 and they ended up losing a nail-biter at Dallas that year after Romo led Dallas down for the winning TD late in the 4th.
But normally, Detroit has had a terrible oline, weak defense, and almost no run game.
They have had less than maybe any other team.
And after the Calvin Johnson years, their weapons, in general, were only so-so.

He's kind of like a modern day Archie Manning (but more arm talent).....great QB has spent his career with almost totally crap rosters.
We say Tony spent his career without good rosters, but at least he had 2007 and, to a lessor degree, 2014 and 2009.

I don’t see anyone giving up a first round draft pick for him and I said he would be released but that it’s possible he could be traded.

I was wrong. I said a team would give up a first round pick, well how about 2 first round picks and third and their QB?

As for the Cowboys not getting into the bidding for either Goff or Stafford, sometimes the best deal is the deal that you don't make.
