I sometimes wonder if some posters actually watch football, or do they only look at fantasy football stats and Madden ratings.

if Dak leaves...i'm trading for goff.
he's younger than stafford and a better QB.
but Dak ain't leavin' so we're good.

According to Twitter, SI is reporting that the Lions are going to trade Stafford before the Super Bowl.

Stay tuned

you’ve already exposed your lack of football knowledge by saying Goff is better than Stafford

no need to expose it further by saying spouting more ignorance
can't help it that your vision is cloudy.
goff is the better qb.
Dak is better than both.
stop hating your QB.

Dak is better statistically than Stafford and has more playoff success, but somehow he's going to come to Dallas and tear it up. I remember hearing how the dropoff from Dak to Dalton was going to be tiny until we went from the #1 offense in the NFL to an offense that struggled to put a single TD on the board.

My question about going for Stafford instead of Dak is this -- after the deal is done, what is our situation on defense like? Do we end up with more cap space to spend on defense due to the deal? Look at it this way. Is it a choice of these two things?:
1. Dak at QB with an awful defense
2. Stafford at QB with a decent defense.

or even
1. Dak at QB with an awful defense
2. Stafford at QB with an excellent defense.

Or is it something else? After the deal, do we end up with the same resources for defense. And do those actually add up to a better defense than this year, in which case it may be:
1. Dak at QB with a decent defense, and Dak's better longevity (because he's younger)
2. Stafford at QB with a decent defense, but QB will have to be replaced sooner.

Which, if any of these scenarios, do you think it would be?

Last time I checked Dalton won several games with the third string o-line. Stafford is a big step up from Dalton.

I know the Dak hate runs deep among many Cowboys fans, but this is kind of silly.

If you're going to trade for a 33 year old Stafford who has never won anything; why not just re-sign Andy Dalton without giving up picks???

Goff is better than Matt Stafford?
Come on! That's lunacy

I question your ability to judge QBs as independent players.
In insert Stafford--even as a 32-year-old--on the Rams and they are better. There is not doubt in my mind

im not a gm or employed by an nfl front office.
just a fan with an opinion.
considering we're on the same message board...my ability to judge talent is the same as yours.
