Wow. This is unbelievable. No way is Stafford worth that much and that much better than Goff. Is he better than Goff, absolutely, but 2 firsts??? No way.
yup. It wreaks of desperation and usually nuthin good comes from that.

Because the NFL draft is and always been a crap shoot gamble it is not a written guarantee; it's just the process of the matter philosophy and strategic
that come to play: You just have to do your best due diligence process as much as possible as your scouting dept can, and i also think it's about a knack.too some teams have it, some do not.

- Cowboys scouts had their guy in sight in TJ Watt, ..but gave way to other influencing factors such as Rod M vouching for Taco
- Hill looked like he was emerging and coming on before the IR; who knows how Rod M hindered his development per rookie year.
- Many were disgruntled with LVE pick - but reversed course when he shined as an impressive rookie before souring on him again the last 2 years.
- Jaylon was considered a top 10 overall pick by many draft gurus B4 his college knee injury. i still have no problem with a 2nd rd gamble pick.
- Do Lamb, Diggs, Gallimore, Biadasz look like hits early on now ?
Lamb yes and Diggs shows promise. The other two haven't played enough to tell and it's the same on the OL except for Williams, I don't think he's ever going to grow up to be what they want him to be. I am in my 70's and I think I could get a sack against him.

I have to say that Biadasz looked really good for a rookie center as well.

To be honest, I wasn't paying close attention to that part of the team this season like I normally do so I don't have an opinion on him or Gallimore.

I was really locked in on the defense and I did watch Diggs and he has promise but he's got to learn not to get caught looking into the backfield and not all of them can do that. I also think they need to get one of these CB's, Farley or Surtain, to put back there with him. The secondary is a unit unto itself just like the OL.

Well, Stafford is not Aaron Rodgers.....almost nobody is. But even Aaron Rodgers thinks Stafford is special and elite.
When people were discussing comparables (arm talent--strength, arm angle, accuracy, etc) to Mahomes, he said you need to look to Detroit to find that answer.

Mainly though, Offensive lines and run games drastically affect your QB ratings
Just look at Tannehill for exhibit A

A career high 80s QB rating.....moves to Tennessee....
He led the league in QB rating last year and was near the top again this year.
Beastly oline and run game will add 10 points minimum.
Tannehill is no Stafford.

Plus QB ratings have drifted up over time.
A 90 QB rating in the 90s is like a 105 now.
I saw a "time-adjusted" QB all-time QB list earlier this year and Stafford's came in at 98.5.....even in crappy Detroit.
15th rated current QB. You keep dodging that.
You mention Tannehill but in the end he spit the bit. So bad comparison; or maybe dead on comparison. Stafford has not shown he can perform under playoff pressure either.

Gallimore came on strong on the last half of the season. Its time we also see ANAE on the field. I suspect he will be a playmaker.

Stafford must have almost died laughing when they asked him if he wanted to go to New England and have to see Patricia again.

They've won 33 games the last three years and I would bet significant money they'll win more games over the next couple of years than the Cowboys.

They have but that's not going to hold. You can not sustain winning without draft picks. That's where the Rams are headed. They are letting it ride on this play. If it works out, they probably get a championship but over the long haul, this is going to set them back big time IMO. This is all about money. I'm guessing that this is a play around the cost associated with building that facility. They need to generate capitol now and I think this is what is driving these moves. This is gonna be interesting.

a warrior"over the years" that has NEVER won a thing. Has a bad back, and is 33. The Rams screwed the pooch on this. Dude is a rental for 2 years then they will be searching all over again for another QB and they already traded away their draft picks in the future. Rams outlook beyond 2022 is bleak if your a fan.Lets be clear they didnt get Peyton Manning..he has never been that. He is a system QB with an arm. A dying breed. Dude has a bad back on top of it.

Not saying it was a good trade but this board has a real issue with actually knowing if someone is good or not. Barry Sanders never won a thing snd he’s an all time great. It’s the Lions. There are a massive amount of great players who are in crap organizations that don’t win. Stafford, from what all his teammates say is the toughest guy on the team and a stud that kept them respectable for a decade. The trade may or may not work out but people on here with the “what has he won” = sucks is unreal. Yet they then will say pay Dak 40 mil. It’s not like he’s a Dak or someone of the young guys who have done nothing to start. He’s put up numbers for years

Rams 2020 draft class, without a first round pick, ranked as the 11th most productive rookie classes by PFF. Ahead of 21 other teams.

They have been one of winningest teams in NFC since McVay came around. Their front office and coach study this stuff 10,000 times more than fans do. They aren't dummies I can assure you.
