He may not even be the Niners QB.Just asking, is Garapolo, an elite QB?

It’s one of the reasons our 90’s teams were so dominant. We could throw and run with good balance and our defense was good and fast. The biggest takeaways that I got from this game was that defence still wins championships and you have to be balanced on offense. The Bucs won the Super Bowl because they played elite defence from basically start to finish, and because the Chiefs didn't run the football. Jason Pierre-Paul, Vita Vea, and Lamonte David were in Mahomes' face pretty much the entire time. They took away Tyreek Hill and basically told the Chiefs to try to beat them without Hill. The end result was 9 points. Meanwhile, the Chiefs couldn't stop the run at all, and Brady was able to rip them apart as a result. Morale of the story: play balanced offense and build this defence. If you want to have a chance, make the defence afraid of both the run and pass. On the other side of the ball, play good defence, and you'll typically win. Jerry Jones needs to build this defence this off-season so we can have a chance to compete next season.
Yup, 6th round injured LB coming up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I'm sure the FO will address defense this off-season. Now, whether or not they go about it the right way is anybody's guess, but I feel like they know they have a major problem on that side of the ball. Started with the firing of coaches.

And we'll be drafting CB's again. Yay.Ingredients to compete consistently at a high level and win a SB:
(caveat: most important is competent GM and HC but ignore for purposes of this discussion:
Great QB
Good OL
Great front 7
Good MLB
Great TEs
Good safety play
Does in LA.

Can Hill FINALLY step up and contribute? IMHO, if we draft a stud and add a decent FA, a rotation of Gallimore, FA, stud, Hill and Woods would change the weakness to a strength! Then use the rest of the draft/FA for S,CB, LB, S, CB, LB, OT...Gallimore did look great. Now we need someone to complement him. And better Lb play.

Maybe he will be pro bowler.Yup, 6th round injured LB coming up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Agree, but that's not Jerry's philosophy. The narrative around here is that you only need a competent DEF to complement your offense. Todd Bowles should never have been let go by the Cowboys. Again poor evaluaton by us.
Well yeah, but if Hill steps up, he can be a nice addition to the rotation!Hill was looking improved before his injury, but I'd still draft a DT.
Tat is total BS. Bowles was a secondary coach for just a single year in the NFL before he came to Dallas back in 2005. He was the secondary coach for 3 years before leaving for a promotion as assistance head coach/secondary coach for the dolphins which lasted just 2 seasons and then he was back to secondary coach for the eagles who they also made him not the DC but an INTERIM DC because they fired their DC. That lasted for only 2012 and was allowed to leave and he went to the cardinals as their DC for 2 years and then the jets head coach for 3 years until finally the bucs DC. the last 2 years. So tell me what secondary coach stays with the same team for SEVEN years with the hope that he will get a chance to be a DC also only having a couple of NFL coaching experience before coming to that team. You're trying to equate what he turned into after 14 years of coaching experience to what he was when he was with the Cowboys. Ya there have been coaches with little experience that turn out to be big time coaches like McVay but they don't come around that often and many coaches have tried their hand at DC or head coaches but weren't that good at that. Example Wade Phillips is a good DC but a terrible head coach.
