The top vote-getters will be announced in May and inducted in a Cleveland, Ohio, ceremony in the fall.

OK, you can have have 5, pick'em and splain'em if ya wanna.

I'll go with Foo Fighters, Iron Maiden, Tina Turner, Carole King and Todd Rundgren.

I haven't ever looked at the list but the fact that Carole King wasn't already in there floored me. She should already be in there, long time back, just for her songwriting.

I know because of popularity and name recognition Jay Z and LL Cool J will get in. But I ain't voting for them cause I ain't no rapper, Ima banger! However, I do appreciate art of every form even if I don't appreciate it.

Yuck. I've got a hard time coming up with 5.

Devo - Love them and an underrated band who deserve the spot.
Carol King - Love her, though I don't know how much of a rock and roller she is. I wore Tapestry out.
Iron Maiden - Not a fan, but yeah they deserve the spot.
Rage - I'm a huge fan, but again I don't know that they earned this spot.
Tina Turner - She's the queen of rock and roll so yeah.

I like some of the other artists like LL Cool J and Dion Warwick but just don't see them as rock types. If they want to include rappers and R&B artists maybe this should just be the Music Hall Of Fame in the future.

Umm, really opened up a can of worms but here goes.

I think the obvious answers{least to me} are Iron Maiden, Tina Turner, Devo, Carole King and Dionne Warwick.
I believe{?]this a first ballot for the Foo Fighters whom i personally cannot stand, matter of factly i have never seen a band get so much adoration for being so dammed average.
Maybe might add the Go-Go's to the list.

I think Rage has definitely earned a spot. Their music is unique, relevant, prolific, and high quality, IMO.

Personally, I don't get the R&R HOF or being located in Cleveland, it should be in Memphis. Just because Alan Freed coined the term and was a jock in Cleveland isn't a good enough reason to have it there. Memphis has a lot more connection to R&R than Cleveland.

There should be different music HOF's and the R&R one should be just for that genre, which does not include Dionne Warwick, she belongs in the Pop Music HOF.

Or better yet, how about no HOF for art? It's dumb, do we have a Painter's HOF, Author's HOF, Actor's HOF? They have pissed more artists off and if I were one, I would stay home like Mark Knopfler did when Dire Straits was inducted.

First of all, anything Rolling Stone Magazine is going to be behind is already tainted.
