I would based on their innovative vocal harmonies that inspired Queen. If it hadn't been for Sweet, we would not have gotten the Queen sound.

I wouldn't count on that. I find Queen more operatic than Sweet. I think it's likely they would have gone in that direction either way, even if they say they were inspired by Sweet.
