He actually is a bargain right now when lesser QBs like Dak are looking at getting $40 M a year. But Seattle clearly has some serious holes on the O line. He has a legitimate gripe about being hit too much. He gets a lot of hits anyway due to the way he moves around but certainly the Seahags have NOT done a good job of building an O line. You have a franchise, elite QB and don;t bother to build the O line- well that to me if I am wilson speaks pretty loud.

Well considering this headline is a joke lacks context.

I mean the guy broke his ankle so yeah... I wouldn't expect him to be top 5-10 ranked for the 2020 season..

By taking out of the equation what football players get paid. What they are worth is a whole different ballgame. Not just Watson.

I was being a bit tongue-in-cheek about it, but someone like Dak getting $40 million a year to play football is really kind of ridiculous. Of course, it's made possible, and even logical, by the fact that the NFL rakes in so much money through its deals and the players are the reason for it.

Maybe I'm just jealous. ;)
I get it. To me if Jerry can make billions off the Cowboys...a guy like Dak can make 40 million lol. To me the bigger travesty is that Jerry makes billions.

Brady is the Goat but multiple QBS could have won the bowl with that team and he would not be the player I would want with no line.

Tier 1: Maholmes Tier 2: Wilson Rogers Tier 3. Dak, Watson, Brady, Allen 4. Herbert, Lamar

GOAT Montana til the end and back again.

Oh I went to the NFL article in question. That the OP seriously misquoted.

The ranking was for the QB’s 2020 season. In which Dak only played 4.5 games.

not the QB’s overall ranking amongst starting QB

So even the article itself doesn’t say Dak is the 16th best QB in the league. Which the OP neglected to mention or just flat out chose not to.
Thanks for pointing that out.

A crap move tbh. Misrepresented the data to make a personal opinion appear to have more credence.

And I'm not a Dak apologist... I just dwell in the real world where that kind of garbage is heavily frowned upon. Last time I click on any of the OPs threads... dead ***

Tom Brady has not been a top 10 QB in the NFL for basically the past 3 years. TEAMS win in the playoffs and teams win titles. There is a reason he went to a loaded team. They went 7-9 last year with a QB who threw 30 interceptions. He threw 30 interceptions and they still won 7 games. Miami's backup QB was outplaying Winston and that is all Brady had to be to be a massive upgrade.

Nothing but facts

Tom GOAT Brady
Mahomes~Wilson
(Gap)
Rodgers/Watson
(Gap)
Dak/Allen/Lamar

This is the official tier list of quarterbacks of the top 10 Ish qbs in the league.

Rodgers would be higher if he wasn’t a playoff chocker

Give him a sophisticated performance enhancing drug test and let’s see how the 43-44 year old man has really defied human history

Deflate gate

I’m suspicious

16 is a little low. but the overall range is about right, arguments canbe made why this guy should be higher or lower. Once outside the top 5 or 6 it is pretty muddled.

Ranking him at 16 is a joke.

that’s the explanation.

btw I don’t know who “NFL” is and how that person came up with their ranking.
Part of the equation is accepted now as risk assessment due to undefined level of adverse injury.
This isnt a broken collarbone.

He's an awful poster.
Par for the course.
Yet the majority forget that the injury needs to, has to be factored in to equation.
Despite rather you are pro Dak or anti Dak, has nothing to do with not acknowledging the very intricate make up of the ankle.
How much medical insight have we been privy to?
This is not the easy recovery that we have been fed, and I personally need more information that is simply not being made available, and that in itself draws a red flag.
Just saying nobody can base Daks value at present, due to the fact that nobody can define Daks recovery with any clear vision at this point in time.
I might not be the biggest Dak supporter prior to injury, but I am certainly, and always in need of a very basic component of truth before making another enormous franchise error.
Daks injury needs to be defined, and we will not know that, media will not know that, only Dak actually knows that.
The silence is telling,, Im waiting for Dak to prove it.

16? Wow that's a stretch. Do YOU personally have 15 qbs you can honestly put in front of him?

I've got:
Mahomes
Rodgers
Brady
Wilson
Allen
Dak
Herbert
Watson
Murray
Jackson
Stafford
Car
Ryan
Goff
Tanny

Off the top of my head I've got him conservatively 6-10. Thats not a Dak fan boy ranking or a hater. Many of those are interchangeable. In any event Dak is probably 5-8.

Yes I'd pay him, because he seems to improve each year and I dont believe he's the type that will get paid and get lazy. Also because drafting a QB is a crap shoot and we have a ton of offensive talent. Imagine a world where we had a decent defense. With the current structure of the league most QBs are in the AFC now. This is the perfect time to make a run in the NFC.

I don't think you can put Dak in front of Watson or Jackson. I think both of those guys are clearly viewed as better then Dak by a majority of NFL people. I'd say Ryan, Carr, Stafford are all in that same area with Dak. Murray and Herbert could soon be viewed ahead of Dak with a good year IMO.

The list will forever shuffle. Lamar is awesome but the Ravens offense wasn't the same this year. Watson didn't overwhelm either. Unfortunately Dak was hurt and we don't know how he would've finished. What I saw was highly impressive. There are arguments to be had with most of these guys. My point wasn't to nail down a ranking, but to show how ridiculous ranking Dak at 16 really is.

Not what we are talking about. What is being discussed here is how GMs view these QBs. You can't tell me that GMs don't view Jackson higher then they do Dak. GMs look at Dak and see big numbers against some really bad defenses. They look at Watson and see him put up numbers without much of an OL or weapons on Offense. That is why those players are evaluated higher IMO.

Ranking Dak at 16 is not ridiculous. It seems that way to you because you are a Cowboys fan. To the rest of the NFL, they see a guy who puts up a lot of empty stats and not a lot of wins against quality teams. They see a QB coming off major injury. They see a guy who could be anywhere from 10th to 16th but will cost you top ranked money to sign. That all plays into the evaluation.

You dont get to decide what I was talking about and the point of my post. OP saying Dak ranks 16th is stupid. I illustrated that for him. You have slid 2 players in front of his 7th ranking and now want to put him down to 16 as well. Go ahead, its stupid though. The math doesn't add up.

Cool, shove off. Don't respond to my posts if you don't wish to discuss. I'm good with it.
