Romo and Aikman were much better QBs. There is no comparing Dak to those two.
What did Romo win? Isn't that the criteria we using for QBs or is it empty stats? Or is it regardless of the team the QB has to overcome everything? Y'all keep so many it's hard to keep up with all the bs you guys talk about Dak.

Dak isn't a bad QB, but the guy hasn't won anything that makes him worth 37 million. What has he won? Good guy, but the dude will not bring us a ring.

I know this thread is similar to previous threads, but I beg of you Jerry. Do NOT sign him to a new contract. I'm good with a QB in draft and having him learn behind Dalton for a year or two. Dalton is cheaper and almost as efficient.

You had me until you said sign Dalton. Are you out of your mind, son?

If you’re not going to sign Dak, then you draft a quarterback at 10 and sign a stopgap like Winston or roll with Gilbert. But you’re throwing away 2021.

They have a very bad defense this is why paying a system QB hiding behind the best OL Rb WR combo for years without results , is a bad decision. Cowboys need every cap dollar to fix that defense . Otherwise the 8-8 cycle will continue .
They can fix the defense in 1 offseason. Quitters quit . It’s what you do.

Definitely throwing away '21. Best to make the most of it then, yes.

Given the QB scale *now*, I think they're overpriced. But I'm sure Jerry knows better than us what the cap is likely to be. If there is a big increase, 40mil on Dak could be cheap.

There's another thread about the NFL "wanting" to double their licensing fees. I'm sure they do. Who wouldn't? But I wouldn't want to be a network on the hook for that money. The Plague and Politics have brought cultural change. Viewership has dropped, and could drop further.

.....I very likely see a tag on him. To many risks involved with a huge contract. Main one being his health. How does that leg hold up? Will it change his style of play? Will he run less? Having legs is what made Dak unique. Now will just wait n see.

They could if they had not overpaid bums like zeke and others . The cap is too stretched for a QB who wants to be paid more than Brady and mahomes . Sorry , the math doesn’t work .

You pay your quarterback and you let the rest of the team struggle for dollars that’s how you win in this league. Ask The guy up in New England
The Cowboys have already paid their OL, DE, LB, RB and WR. The guy up in NE didn't run it like that and he still managed to get a team friendly deal from his QB.
