Who you guys like at corner and why? I watched a little highlight tape not a lot. I do like the way Surtain & Horn turn their head and play the ball...it would be nice to have a corner who can intercept some passes.

There’s a feeling of certainty that Surtain has which makes you think he’ll be at least a quality starting CB for long time.

I was a big fan of Horn but I can’t help but think he’ll either be a good player or an absolute scrub.

I actually feel much more confident in Fairley’s upside than I do Horn.

The CB class seems deeper than usual. If I pick one at ten it's Surtain, he's probably the most technically sound. If I trade back it's Horn, he's pretty grabby but I think Harris could help him work on that. If I wait until round two Molden and Robinson are targets in that order.

Farley has the best chance of being an all-pro, but his floor is also lower than that of a Surtain. I like Horn too but don’t think he’ll be the pick.

Bingo.

Surtain ... at worst, becomes a 8-10 year starter and is like Dre Kirkpatrick

Farley ... injuries keep rolling up and he isn’t worth that high investment

Horn ... I like. Only in a trade back

I see a few guys starting in round 3 that can come in and be eventual starters. Tay Gowan, Ambry Thomas, Israel Mukuamu, Greg Newsome II to name a few. I’m doubling down at CB. Early first and maybe late 3rd or early 4th

It would definitely be a good year to do that. Especially if they lose Chido and Lewis in free agency.

Farley has a higher upside than Surtain, but he’s certainly not as polished and his medicals could raise red flags as well.

Surtain is slow. So is Horn. Why do you guys fall for slow CBs with slow twitch? That's the last thing this team needs.

Get the guy with fast speed, good quickness, a good twitch/swively hips and excellent hands for INTs. It should be Farley. If Farley is gone by the time the Cowboys pick at #10, trade down either with the Patriots at #15 (they need a QB) and get their late 2nd round pick for compensation...or trade down into the late teens or early 20s, pick up an extra late 2nd and possibly 4th.

Then use that traded down 1st round pick on someone like LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah or Zaven Collins. If not a LB, try to get DT Christian Barmore or one of the better O-Tackles available.

In this scheme you don’t need burners. As a matter of fact...some of the best corners in the league aren’t fast.

Cover 3 Corners who are the best scheme fit, in no particular order:

-Farley
-Meliwonfu
-Joseph
-Newsome
-Adebo
I don't think it's a definite that Quinn is looking for "Cover 3 CBs" considering he moved away from a Single-high look to more 2 deep Safety looks in ATL. Also, the DB coach Whitt deploys more 2 deep looks.

In Quinn’s typical scheme you don’t need to be a burner at corner. Typically longer in size, smart and instinctual.

Sherman - 4.56
Browner - 4.63
Maxwell - 4.43
Simon - 4.51

Good stuff from all. I am still confused though on who it would be.

I hear Farley and Surtain often. Horn would be a later pick, will he even go in the 1st round? From things I read a month ago. Though it was not much reading.
I need to do some more of my own research on each.

From what I have read after Quinn was hired, he is a huge Cover 3 DC, Atlanta implemented more of a Cover 2 when Morris took over the job.

Horn will go first round. A few CB needy teams like SF will overdraft him after Surtain and Farley go

Its funny people talk about what Quinn likes at cb but he sure hung on to Trufant forever. Last I checked he wasnt a tall, long corner.
