Quinn's background is more the Cover 3, he may of changed to more of a cover 2, based on his talent that he had in house. The single high safety is extremely important for a Cover 3 Defense, but there just aren't many who can effectively play that role. It certainly will depend on how they bring in via fa and the draft. What we can expect is more of a zone coverage scheme, not a man press one.

Broaddus said a few weeks ago via his sources, that our new DB Coach covets elite speed and length for the position, not your typical zone corner type.

What good is speed in a Cover 3? Who are these fast burners that are great corners in the NFL?

And right on Wikipedia they list him as 6'1 lol...

And if the Cowboys go Surtain...he checks a lot of boxes. He wouldn't be a pick based on his arm length and height. He's legitimately one of the best corner prospects in the draft.

Whilst true until we pick up a dominant fs with true range i fear tge scheme will be masked to cover up for that lack of a fs type

You acting dumb fam. I literally told you what to do lol. The facts are there, if you dont want it cool but stop acting stubborn.

Surtain wouldnt be that but I think alot of the second round picks would be that.

Chido and Anthony Brown weren't really slow.

There's nothing to act dumb about. You seem to value one part of Wiki but not the other that says he's 6'1 190.

@rocyaice Read what is in bold up above, bro. ^^^ (expand comment above to see what section is in bold)

Should tell you all you need to know. Them slower CBs will not be coveted in the draft by the Cowboys. You're arguing against what the Cowboys are looking for.

If thats true its still dumb. If a slower guy is a better player then draft him. But this is the team that promoted a grandson to scouting assistant. Why am i surprised they are clueless.

Then we aren't going corner then because I don' see much "elite speed" in the draft.

Very common for a team to do that lol. We are talking about scouting assistant not a actual scout. Nepotism got a lot of good coaches jobs in this league.

I'm confused to why you are in your feelings about this lol

I just disagree with you man its not acting "Childish". You're going far too hard for a simple disagreement. You chose to go with NFL.com I chose to go with the other sites that say he's 6 foot to 6'1. Either way....Trufant is not known as a small corner.

Trufant was one of the two or three most impressive physical specimens at cornerback that competed at the 2013 NFL Scouting Combine. He has good size at 6'0", 190 lbs, and his blistering 4.38 40 and 3.85 short shuttle times were among the best at his position.

They have speed problems? Horn is a very aggressive man player...fighter, Quinn probably wants a zone corner?

He seems more boom or bust...I heard a few compare him to Mo Claiborne?

I think if Farley flames out it’s injury based as opposed to talent. The talent is there.

I don't know what kind of defense we're going to run this year, but if you need a Cover 3 corner, Patrick Surtain Jr looks like the prototype. We all know how polished his technique is, so what surprised me the most with his tape is just how willing he is to get physical. He brawls with receivers on presses and comes down hard to make tackles. Just the spitting-image perfect CB for that system.

Farley is explosive enough to hang with Chase Claypool, and that 2019 game alone probably solidified a top 10 pick for him. I see a lot of bust risk with him though. 1 year of real experience. Injuries. Doesn't get his head around, and gives up completions right in his facemask Chido style. You take him top 10 anyway because he has game-changing talent at a critical position and could directly bump up your W column if he hits, but it's taking a risk.

Jaycee Horn is an absolute gamer. Surtain gets all the hype about having an NFL dad, but I didn't know that Jaycee's dad was Joe Horn until a guy on another draft site I use mentioned it. He brings that same flashy diva-type of behavior to CB, which is fun to watch and makes for a hell of a highlight reel. But he's willing to gamble on plays and likes to grab when he loses a step, and that opens the door for him to get beat a LOT in the pros. He'll still go first round because he's 6'1" and athletic with monster ball skills, but he is a tier below Farley and Surtain IMO.

Farley will lose some reps, but when he does, he's right there on the play. Again, kind of Chido style. Chido's probably the worst-case scenario for him. And Surtain literally just played 900+ snaps this year without being flagged once, which is just polar opposite of Horn. He is just freaking clinical. All 3 players have high ceilings, but Horn comes with potential burn-victim risk that neither of the other two have.

But hey. Sometimes he shoves Kyle Pitts to the ground. and that's cool too.

Farley runs the 40 in 4.33 seconds. I believe there is another CB or two (later rounds) that have been timed in the 4.3s as well.

But I’m not really sure why you are arguing so hard for this is this just about being right or what?
