Ok I can see that. I was not thinking money but just teams that would want Dak services. Also thought that maybe with Belichick's ego he want to prove that he can win without Brady kinda like Joe Gibbs winning two SBs with 2 different qbs.

His only real hope was Washington and Dan Snyder but it looks like he found a brain.

The church of Dak will come crashing down to an unexpected reality check as no teams will pony up the cash Greedy Todd and Prescott are asking for.
Crashlanding times coming to Dak Field.
P.S. No tag, no contract, a simple we don't have the cap and thanks and GL Dak......

Naw, they won't overpay. No sense in destroying a whole team for one average QB.
Makes more sense to overpay for an average QB than an average RB and that didn’t stop them. Not only did they overpay but they set a record for the most money ever paid to a RB AND to a player who held out with 2 years left on his contract.

I wouldn’t get your hopes up.

Dallas remains best suitors and he will either sign or he tagged again. If he is tagged it will in all likelihood be his last year here

If Dak signs the tag and plays on the tag, I think you can assume he wanted out of Dallas and ultimately the Cowboys had no control over the situation. The Cowboys should trade him this year instead of getting a third for Dak next year. That’s looming large right now.

To me, the Jets are the team. Dak to NY is a match made in heaven PR wise. The Jets have a pretty good personnel core, outside of QB. They can afford Dak's salary, they have the key pieces needed to make a deal with the Cowboys and they can offer Dak and France the things they want to transition upwards if Dak leaves Dallas, assuming Dak can win. I mean, if you win in NY, there is no better, more lucrative place to be. That's just the truth.

So, the key is, do they believe that Dak is the guy or not? If they believe Dak is their guy, is a #2 overall, a 2nd round pick and Darnold to much to spend? Watson, who they have been linked to would cost them, reportedly, three 1st round picks and two 2nds plus a starter. So if you think the difference between Watson and Dak is minimal, then Dak is a bargain by any measure, IMO.

I, personally think that's cheap if you believe that Dak is your guy. If they don't believe that, then of course it's too much but then again, if they believe that an unproven rookie is a better option for them, then don't you have to ask if Dak really is a Franchise QB worth a contract like he reportedly wants?

It's an interesting question, to me.

IMO Miami and Jets are out. Miami is not giving up on Tua after his rookie season. I'd be the house they draft Devonta Smith. See how Tua does with a little more help.

The Jets will just take a QB in the draft. Most QB needy teams do when they're drafting that high. They'll get it right sooner or later.

Carolina or Jville would be perfect fits IMO. Denver is in the mix too. At this point Dallas looks turned off by the asking price Daks agent is wanting...coupled with the years.

Jax is probably not going to give up the #1 overall pick for Dak.

once we place the non exclusive on him, he will be pissed and feel dumped on. That is the only problem. We then would have zero chance at keeping him. But that is my thinking. Lets tag him and see what happens..like chumming the water lol.
Dak is making his own bed. If he is offended, so be it.

Keep in mind guys that of the teams on this list, Dak would probably need to want to go there because even though Dallas has a right to sign him and trade him the acquiring team would want an extension.

France and his terms would probably be a real wet blanket on teams wanting to acquire Dak otherwise.

agree. I have to question whether he really wants to be a cowboy or not. What he's asking for simply isn't the way it works. The years he's asking for is a terrible negotiating tactic. Looks greedy, selfish.Which I don't think hes any of those things...but the optics are terrible.

The more I study this situation the more I realize that although a TON of teams would be clammoring for Dak if he was a true FA—the list is likely to be pretty short considering the draft picks AND the contract it will take to sign him.

Making one dumb mistake does not mean that you double down and make a second dumb mistake. I mean what sort of argument is this? They paid Zeke and that's made me butt hurt that they won't pay Dak? Dak enjoyed many years of inflated stats and wins thanks to Zeke and that offensive line.

I am slowly coming around to thinking Dak just wants to hit free agency and if that’s the case—-he will play on the tag. If so Dallas needs to flip Dak for the two firsts now.

A trade would be better, but, it would be on his terms. It probably shortens that list quite a bit.
