Clearly those who do not think Dak is a good QB would not want to pay him yet there are men who have been in the NFL like Jimmy Johnson, Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith and Irvin saying Dallas must sign him and seem to feel he is better than what some of our message board posters think. This does not prove they are right and our posters are wrong but don't act as if this is a no brainer move to let Dak go or that he is just some JAG I would put the creditably of these men above any person at this sight.

I was reading a tweet yesterday from a college professor who has a PHD claiming that a child born in 2010 would be 18 years old in 2018 and her explanation of the math was 10 + 8 = 18 .
That is funny. I mean I have a college degree but that doesn’t mean I am smart or better than anyone else. As my father told me your not entitled to anything. The only thing your entitled to is my foot up your a?? if you think like that.

Respect Daks request and then go trade for Russ Wilson
and that will translate to a whole bunch of 8-8 seasons....for multiple reasons....Wilson is 1-3 in the playoffs in the past 4 years....his cost is 35M per year, the same cost everyone bulked at. he will cost several first round picks, resources needed to rebuild historically bad defense, which we won't have. he is under contract for 3 years and will want to totally break the bank in his next contract......Wilson is not the answer.

I am a little late to this party, but the key aspect of Mahomes deal is he is locked up until 2032. It was a 10 year extension he was given with a 2021 CAP impact of about $24 million and $31 million in 2022. If Dak is willing to do a long term deal then I would be willing to pay him more than $40 million, but there is no way I pay him that much on a 3 or 4 year deal. Mahomes is not just a little better than Dak, he is way better than Dak and he has 2 SB appearances. Also, the Mahomes deal is full of large roster bonuses. For the next 6 seasons Mahomes' salary is $2.5 million or less and the rest of his compensation is roster bonuses. Mahomes got a $10 million signing bonus and only $63 million in guaranteed money.

We heard the problem Dak had last year was the length of the deal, he wanted 4 years and the Cowboys offered 5. Now Dak is saying he wants what Mahomes got which is a much longer deal than either side proposed. This goes back to what I have been saying that who knows what Dak wants. Now he is changing his tune again which leads me to believe he really does not want a deal in Dallas he wants to hit free agency. You cannot negotiate with a person who really does not want to make an agreement.

Dak is a really good QB, but he may not be really good for the Cowboys.

Well, it teaches you how to actually learn on your own and not write things like "equals to smarts".
I just love it when people get on a football message board and want to correct peoples grammar.

It really is hilarious. Now, if we were on an English Lit discussion board I could see it, but those people don't usually watch football!

It’s all about the context. Read his post. It’s actually quite hilarious.

He should feel lucky to be playing for the Cowboys....either, tag and he plays then let him walk...or we move up in the draft to snag a QB or trade for one. Lance or Trask will be available when we draft...sign a cornerback with the money your going to save by not signing Dak and wave to Dak as he walks out of the Star...

Dak, like Cousins, is burning his bridge in Dallas. He's all about money and respect is earned not given freely. Aikman and Romo earned respect and Dak is still in the baby playpen.
Aikman and Romo got paid....Romo got paid without any accomplishments. At least Aikman brought three SB visits and three SB victories. Romo?
