You somehow misunderstood my comment as me playing the victim?

The same guy who regularly plays the victim card, calls people out for ranting then lays down dozens of posts ranting in every single Dak thread.

You stand out. Head and shoulders above all others. Just saying....

Carry on.

Nah I didn't misunderstand you. I peeped EXACTLY what you were doing. You have a issue with me defending Dak. Its clear. Why it bothers you or anyone else I have no damn idea. But that's something you're going to have to get over especially on a Cowboys forum.

We can lose to "good teams" for a lot cheaper.

He and Dalton both can beat the trash at the same rate. Maybe Dak is better at beating the trash a game better.
Is the objective to make the playoffs or not? How do you get into the playoffs without beating trash? You can't lose 3-25 to the Commanders and be serious about making the playoffs like Dinucci and Dalton did.

Dak just want what he's owed....he has to feed his kids. Jerry want to save that money just so he can overpay Gallup, LVE or whoever else.

While I generally stay out of the waters of this invigorating contact talk, and can understand where all parties are coming from on this, the bolded statement has to be called out. Prescott is owed absolutely nothing other than the terms of a franchise tag, so long as he has the tag applied. He has the right to demand what he wants in a contract, and the Cowboys have the right to either agree with his request, counter it with a different offer or make no offer at all. While he has improved since his rookie season, and is by all accounts a really good leader and representative of the franchise, the bottom line is that the team that he leads has won one playoff game in his tenure, and has missed the playoffs in two of his five seasons. Yes, it's a team sport, but we are talking about his contract and his requests. As we currently sit, the Cowboys are no closer to the Super Bowl than they were in his rookie season. By and large, this isn't his fault - the Joneses have zero football philosophy or idea as to how to build a roster. But, in a year where the overall financial pool for players is shrinking, Prescott is coming off of a leg injury that ended his season and his team is full of holes on the defensive side of the ball. His contract will play a large role in determining how well those holes can be addressed, if at all. He may only want his in these negotiations, and that's fine. The Joneses only want theirs as well. It's the fans who get screwed either way.

And, to say he has to feed his kids when he's looking at making 35+ million per season at worst is a woefully ignorant statement. I hope that was tongue-in-cheek, because he could live for the remainder of his life off of what he made in 2020. And, feed his kids quite well.

McFly,,hellooooooo. Dak or Dalton don't play defense. Hellooooooooooooooooo...

Yep. It's always something.. It only gets worse after we pay Dak as well. Especially on a team trending down.

We all agree that Dak needs a ton around him because the team makes him better and he doesn't make the team better.

I'm not going to style point games. Especially at the NFL level.

Dak & Dalton get similar results but I will say Dak does lose prettier if that makes you feel any better.

2019 Dak and 2020 Dalton both lost their win and in games. Dak got schooled by the Eagles defense for 4 quarters and missed a wide open Tavon Austin in the 4th quarter.

There is nothing factual about your statement they get "similar results" lol. Not at all. You guys kill me man y'all will stoop to extreme levels to knock Dak man its just so odd to me lol. I got one guy over here defending Goff and Wentz and you're trying to convince me Dalton and Dak are of the same caliber.....results be damn...its insane. So using your argument you will take Andy Dalton over Deshaun Watson because he's cheaper and has "similar results" to Dalton?

Then why does it bother you so much when people are against re-signing Dak???? Using your logic to understand.

2020 saw Dak with a .400 Win % and Dalton with a .444 Win %....hence similar results.

I didn't say Dak and Dalton are same caliber.

Dak is better than Dalton.

By how much? I dunno.. Not enough to make a huge difference in the outcome of a season.

They'll both get the team to the same place because they aren't the type of QB's who elevate their roster. The roster elevates them.

Yep, you can go 8-8 or worse for a lot cheaper. Which is basically why you would not sign Dak.
We have nothing to discuss if you would take Dalton instead of Watson. Absolutely nothing. What is this "we can go 8-8" a lot cheaper? The objective is to save Jerry money now? This is insane lol.

Just stop while you're ahead as:

What we've got here is failure to communicate.

Some men, you just can't reach.

So you get what we had here last week -- which is the way he wants it.

Well, he gets it.

And I don't like it anymore than you men.

No, we all do not agree. He needs as much as any QB. Obviously the Brady's, Rogers and Mahomes are better but they all need a ton around them.
