Gallup for 13 million or Cooper for 21?

If Gallup could be resigned for 13 million per year who do you keep and who do you let go or trade? Cooper is scheduled to make around 21 million the next couple years.

Cant keep all 3 of these guys. The drafting of Lamb was the writing on the wall for one of these guys.
if we could, I would trade Gallup. cash in on him. I think he is going to want more than 13M, that might be too low for him next year.

Guessing Gallup’s agent is going to be wanting quite a bit more than than, somewhere along the lines of a mid level #1 pay! That said, Coopers contract was structured so that they could walk away after 2 years if they so choose was my understanding!

I think Gallup and CD would be a formidable duo in 2022. I never liked the Amari Cooper trade or contract. I would trade Gallup if he had any trade value. But, we have to get out of paying Amari 20M+ a year. He's not worth it. No WR is worth it.

The compensation needs to be given for this year if the guy is signed before the draft rather than having to wait a year, a 3 next year is 2 this year.
If you grow a player , no, if you grow 20 that you drafted why are you penalised for being a good franchise with a cap. Tge system needs an overhaul. I dont know whst the answer is

Cooper is 26 entering his prime years and has put up great numbers since acquired. Gallup isn’t close to the caliber player Cooper is
I wouldn't say isn't close, but definitely not at the same level. He still has room for growth.

Gallup isn't signing for 13 million per lol

More like Cooper for 21 or Gallup for 19

Guys like Goodwin and Galloday are being projected at more than 22m AAV

We know what Cooper is, can Gallup be a number 1 or is he like Alvin Harper? Unless Gallup has a monster breakout season and had to choose I would keep Coop.

I would go the other way and sign Gallup. Love Cooper, but he is getting older and the 6 million is a lot. Keep the young Lamb and Gallup 1-2 together for the next 5 years. I also think we could trade Cooper and get possibly a 3rd or 2nd rounder.

I would fact check. Cooper is 26 and Gallup is 25. Less than 2 years age difference. Though I could see why many would think Cooper is older as it feels like he's been in the league for a while.

Gallup is a Sterling Sharpe caliber receiver. No one is paying $13M for that. You guys really need to stop believing everything Jerry Jones tells you to sell jerseys.

It's a legit question when you throw in those salaries.
But, fwiw, Gallup is only 9 months younger than Cooper---they are essentially the same age.

2nd or 3rd. Maybe a 3rd and a 5th.
I think you’re way over valuing Gallup. He’s pretty good but this year is a very WR heavy draft and next year is looking good too. There will be high WR prospects available deep in this draft and teams will get them on a cheap rookie contract.

There may be a couple teams that have extra cap space and feel like they need to use draft picks for other positions but I don’t see them giving up a 2nd or a 3rd and 5th.

Tough decision and I am not a big fan of Cooper's. But Gallup is going to get more money than I think he is worth. I like him. He makes some big plays often when they are most needed. He's one of those guys who makes the tough catch, then drops one right in his hands. But I think he can be replaced in the draft more easily than Cooper. Who knows, maybe with the two years of deep drafts for WRs, Gallup's value will go down and the Cowboys can afford to re-sign him.

Cooper. Gallup is a big play chest catcher that will get worse if hes your 2nd receiver. Cobb now Lamb made him thrive. This not Gallup hate. I like him, but trade him now.

Tough question. If you just keep Gallup and get one more season out of him and let him walk we will probably end up with a third round comp pick. So someone has to give up considerably more than that to make it worth trading him. I don’t see someone giving up a first for him unless into the season some contender has a horrible injury and gets desperate. If that happens and they offer a first I take that all day. Otherwise it has to be a second rounder or I’ll just keep him and take the comp pick.
I don’t see someone trading for Cooper with his contract but if they wanted to, I take that call.
Have to get at least that first rounder back or a second and maybe a defensive player. Then you have to sign Gallup.
I guess my first choice is would be to keep Cooper and trade Gallup but the price is high. I could see a mid-season trade for Gallup for the reasons above.

With what Dak is likely to be paid, assuming he's retained, it will be difficult to keep everyone around. As much as I'd like to see Gallup return, it's anyone's guess what the FO may do. I'm sure they'd like to keep him but that's for them to work out. Drafting a speedy WR is always possible, so anything is possible and nothing's definite in this case. There's no question but what Gallup has trade value. We'll just see what's in store for him.

Keep both and decide after next season, a lot can happen, plus the team just flat out needs all 3. They can make a decision next off-season, but if Amari's contract is restructured that probably signals they prefer Cooper.

Things I want to see:

1.I still want to see CeeDee play on the outside to see what all he can do.

2. Also interested to see the numbers the Trio puts up with Dak playing.

Lastly, WRs are becoming real easy to find, and the Draft is filled with them every year. FA has some starter level and WR2 guys available too.

Gallup shouldn't go for anything less than a 3rd rounder preferably an early 3rd...would love to squeeze an average defensive player from the trade partner as well.

In no universe is Gallup signing for 13M. The more realistic question is Gallup at 17M or Cooper at 21M and my answer is cooper easily. That 4M isn’t worth losing him and going with Gallup. Also coop is only 9 months older than Gallup. So if Coop is old so is Gallup lol
