After running off Jimmy, naming himself GM and his son the director of personnel as well as doing a 180 in direction after Parcells left, this is his biggest mistake.

Well... after 25 years have we really expected to see another Super Bowl as long as Jerry and his boy run the show? He hasn't been able to get it done since Jimmy's team.
Wouldn't matter if they paid him $100mil a year... team will still be like it has for 1/4 century. Always be a Cowboy's fan... But, I am not going to hold on to thinking "this is the year" anymore.

He only counts 25.5 mill against the cap this year. We freed up substantial money.

In his first year, after that what's the outlook? We saved 12 million this year, but don't see how it really works out for us otherwise with 42.5M as his avg.

Even with the money, are we going to be aggressive in FA or the standard escape to the yacht vacation the first week of FA? I've seen this before, they will point to Dak as the big FA signing and doubt we'll spend much elsewhere.

Yup, and then draft mostly defence. Plus, if we can add some solid defence in FA, then that means we can get Pitts at 10 as we'd have gone defence mostly in FA, and then go defence in the draft after that, and then watch this team light up everyone!

I'll be honest, if they don't fix the defense this offseason somehow, it won't matter what Dak does, they'll go 9-7, 8-8.
