I still liked Jones, but it was time to move on. Not just to save cap space, but he wasn’t what he used to be. And was getting too many nagging injuries each year.
Niswander by far was better last year, than Jones was the past 2 years.
Still need to bring in TC competition though.

NFL is definitely going to investigate this team for tanking.

It was time to move on. Injuries finally did him in and he wasn't the same punter as in the past. However, I will throw appreciation his way. In his prime he was a dang good punter and I will always remember the hit he put on that Lions player that was returning a punt. He literally lit that guy up. Not to mention the 2 fake punts against the Eagles and the Raiders.

If Jones is still rehabbing, does the team still pay for Doctors and Physical Therapists?

They need to bring in competition for Niswander. Same for Zuerlein. No free passes for anyone.
