Consider that PFF gave Watkins a defensive grade of 46.6 this past season. That is lower than all of the defensive tackles that played for Dallas in 2020, including Dontari Poe.

Doesn't seem like somebody we should be signing week 1 of FA. Could of probably got him cheaper later or someone like him?

That's what is really funny about this. They signed a guy they normally scrape up 3 weeks into free agency on the 2nd day of this free agency period.

Like man, this is the guy we have got to have so don't screw it up, go grab him now.

Not that I like Woods in the least but keep in mind that Watson actually played almost 100 more snaps than Woods did last season and Watson played the DE position while Woods manned the DT spot......both things contributed to a difference in stats and if anything you would have expected Watson to have even better spots coming off the DE position than Woods at the DT position.

I agree. I still want Tufele/Barmore and/or Shelvin/the DT from Florida in the draft at 1T. Based on Watkins' measurements, I think he'll rotate with Gallimore.
