another 1 year deal, when the market for players is cheap. glad he signed though

This all the players are willing to sign, especially the injured ones as they want to be on the market next year when they have proven themselves and the cap goes up.

Great prove it signing. I think we go linebacker early rather than later in the draft if not first the second and third.

The real question isn't, "What position will he play, SS or LB?". The real question is, "What number will he wear?". No way he gets #22.

Yeah....I always think of the important things.

He won’t wear 23... cuz Kyle fuller getting that one. :D

Why do we have to over pay? You have to ask? ...funny people still assume this is a winning organization. We haven't won anything in over 2 decades. Jerry's legacy will be how he turned America's team into a door mate...
Are you saying the Texans(team that King signed with) is a winning organization?

Your logic doesn't add up.

6'1" 216? Wow that's pretty big for a FS. The first question for me is was he on the field when Dak was lighting the Falcons up for 450 yards and 4 TDs? If he was then I am decidedly underwhelmed by this signing..

He's not a FS. He's a hybrid SS/WLB. We will still need to sign a free safety or move Wilson to that position, which has its quesion marks.

He is not a FS, quite the opposite.
He is not a F.S.

Pro football reference says he is but I guess in the Quinn system the safeties are somewhat interchangeable? Only 2 career INTs but 100+ tackles in 3 of his 5 seasons.. Missed 15 games in '18 games in '19.. durability red flags all over the place now.. Still he had 4 times as many tackles as the guy they list as the Falcons SS last year (Ricardo Allen) .. 100 to 25.. so I'm guessing they got it wrong.. Allen is listed as the SS but weighs 185 pounds.. Yeah that's more than a little fishy. The other thing that bothers me is that clearly Neal is a box safety and we already got a potential star in the making at that position in Wilson. Wilson has the same number of career INTs (2) and 5 forced fumbles and 3 fumble recoveries in only 10 starts.. while Neal has 2 INTs, 8 forced fumbles and 4 fumble recoveries in 48 starts. Now I'm scratching my head on this acquisition. Seems like the guy we already have is the better player.
