Hopefully the first domino to drop.
Yup! Now we just need to sign Kazee, and I think we can call it a FA period! After that, on to the draft!!

Yeah, really?Surprised that we actually were willing to spend $5 million on a player for one year.
Just read that he's 29....he will be 30 during the season.Harris is 28.
Shouldn't keep us from draft any FS.I like the signing but this better not stop us from drafting a player like Richie Grant.
He's not a FS. He's a hybrid SS/WLB. We will still need to sign a free safety or move Wilson to that position, which has its quesion marks.
Pro football reference says he is but I guess in the Quinn system the safeties are somewhat interchangeable? Only 2 career INTs but 100+ tackles in 3 of his 5 seasons.. Missed 15 games in '18 games in '19.. durability red flags all over the place now.. Still he had 4 times as many tackles as the guy they list as the Falcons SS last year (Ricardo Allen) .. 100 to 25.. so I'm guessing they got it wrong.. Allen is listed as the SS but weighs 185 pounds.. Yeah that's more than a little fishy. The other thing that bothers me is that clearly Neal is a box safety and we already got a potential star in the making at that position in Wilson. Wilson has the same number of career INTs (2) and 5 forced fumbles and 3 fumble recoveries in only 10 starts.. while Neal has 2 INTs, 8 forced fumbles and 4 fumble recoveries in 48 starts. Now I'm scratching my head on this acquisition. Seems like the guy we already have is the better player.
Yeah not a FS, does not have the coverage skills for that.
What worries me now is that being one of Quinn's "guys" he's automatically going to be inserted as the starter over Wilson. Wilson was the best playmaker we had on defense last year and I am not in support of any move that puts him on the bench other than to rest. Bears watching for sure..

In different threads as well as this one, why does many say he is a LB, when all the tweets say he is a S.
If Wilson continues to progress Jerry and co. will make sure he gets playing time. Whether they have to change his position or whatever it may be.What worries me now is that being one of Quinn's "guys" he's automatically going to be inserted as the starter over Wilson. He is making a switch to Will.
One year prove it deal
