Im guessing Wilson would he the FS on run downs and then move to SS on passing downs. Probably get 70% of his snaps at SS

One thing positive, though, if that's the plan, we'll have two hard-hitting safeties out there. Receivers will pay as their offenses move down the field on personal foul/defenseless receiver/blow to the helmet/breathing too hard on an offensive player penalties.

He really wont have much pass defense responsibilities at FS save PA. And it wouls give us a good pair of run defending S's

Teams pass on running downs. He'd be the centerfielder. Not sure he's suited for that role.

All three of them have torn their achilles

That's a desired trait in Whitts secondary
And a desired trait with the Jones. They love their crippled guys, lol. But seriously I kind of like this signing. I like that he is a "physical presence" and can hit people. He knows the system and sounds like a hitter. We need that on this defense. Imagine a defensive player that understands what he's supposed to do on a play and then hits the offensive guy. We haven't had that in years.

BOOOOMMMM!!!!!! Championship!

I think McCarthy's trust in Nolan was the problem. It was a moved that failed. Probably McCarthy's 1st strike. The buck always stops with the HC.
If Dan Quinn fails then, McCarthy is gone and we can start the Kellen Moore 50 burger Era till Dak leaves

The thing about the way things went with Nolan is that the defense appeared to have started to play better down the stretch. As it turns out that was fool's gold borne of playing backup QBs, along with a disinterested veteran in Ruthlessraper and a basket case in Wentz. When they proceeded to get lit up by Daniel Jones you knew that Nolan needed to be fired. A team that hadn't scored 20 points in the three previous games combined hung what was it 23? on us by halftime. Time to go, Mike.

teams will pass on this defense all day abd without quality DTs the run will be open and no pressure on the QB

as usual our FO prioritizes the wrong stuff

Imagine if the Cowboys end up with all three (Neal, Hooker, and Kazee). Makes up for all the years of ignoring safety.

You wonder if the NFL will enforce a Rooney McClay rule on the Cowboys in the future where before a free agent can talk to us they must interview with at least one other team.

They have to do something.
