What worries me now is that being one of Quinn's "guys" he's automatically going to be inserted as the starter over Wilson. Wilson was the best playmaker we had on defense last year and I am not in support of any move that puts him on the bench other than to rest. Bears watching for sure..
I would expect Neal will be the starter at SS with Wilson backing him up when Neal steps into LBer, in certain packages. For as good as Wilson played last year, he was a sixth round pick. Neal was a first.
Us Neal is on a prove it deal.
This rules out nothing for the draft, even if we pick up one of the 2 FS coming in.
Still plenty of team building to do.
But having Neal's talent level on the squad is a good problem to have.
