I wouldn't be surprised if Atlanta took Sewell and not the 4th QB. Denver is a prime position for a team needing a corner as many know Dallas desperately needs one. Dan Campbell is an old schooled type pf coach, could see a OL or LB there.
Yeah, I thought about that with Campbell. He’s a meat and potatoes kind of coach, so I could see OL.

I could see Atlanta not taking QB, for sure but they’ve spent a lot recently on the OL so maybe they go in another direction but who knows. If I had to guess right now I think they find the successor to Ryan and groom him for a couple of years. Fields would be perfect for that and I’m sure they hope to not pick 4th overall again for a while. It makes sense.

Oh if he falls to #5 I can see it. I Don't know why I assumed he'd go higher. I actually have no idea what Jets do.
Bucky Brooks just did a mock where he had the Jets taking Sewell at #2. I just can’t see it though. Wilson is going to be very good, IMO.

Well let me say for myself I don't know what Wilson can really do better for the Jets that Darnold can't........I'm just not entirely sure if its Darnold that's the issue or the offense. The problems will continue with Wilson. Tackle is never a sexy position especially when you are a bad team but if they think offensive line is the issue Sewell can go a long ways in fixing that. This draft itself can.

You’re not alone... there have been more than a few people saying they should keep Darnold and stock the team with a trade back. Or take Sewell.

Just speaking for myself, I think Wilson is going to be great and a significantly better QB than Sam. I think that the Jets feel like Wilson is a perfect guy to run that Shanahan offense that NY will run and is just too good to pass up... and then they’ll get something back for Darnold once they trade him.

I just think that’s what will happen.

I think Atlanta. Cincy, Lions, Broncos are the wild cards as they can go in many different directions.
Cincy will go either Sewell or Pitts
Those other three are hard to guess.

Actually, I think there's still a chance that the Jets pull a Miami and cash in on that high draft sport...unless they are completely in love with Zach Wilson.
There's rumblings that they might give Darnold another prove-it year and actually add some weapons to make it a fair evaluation.

Well and that's another thing....they see Darnold more than anyone. That can be either good or bad.

I don't share the same love for Wilson...maybe its the Madden or fantasy in me that wants to draft the sure thing in Sewell and worry about QB next year if I need to.

They must be in love with Wilson for them to turn down the Eagles offer. But they may just be waiting for better. I don't get the insistence on the Eagles trying to get a trade down today. The longer the Jets wait the better compensation they will get. NO reason to rush a trade.

What did the eagles offer the Jets?
I hadn't heard anything on that

The 49ers are a bit unique in this case.
They supposedly value Wilson about the same as one of the other QB (I assume Fields?) and will be happy with whichever one is there for them
So the 3rd spot was where they needed to be.
Paying a lot more just to get to 2 did make sense forthem

I am going Surtain or Horn no matter what else is there. Pair either one with Diggs and we are light years better as a defense than we were last year. Add the free agent haul and the rest of the draft (good safety at 44, hopefully) and we're cooking with gas!!

While I'm not doing this 'no matter what' like you, I am also essentially all in on either Surtain and Horn at 10.

What I think right now:

1. Jax - Lawrence
2. Jets - Wilson
3. Niners - Lance
4. Falcons - Fields
5. Cincy - Sewell
6. Dolphins - Chase
7. Lions - Smith
8. Panthers - Waddle
9. Broncos - Parsons
10. Dallas - Pitts

Chaos and hilarity ensue.

Agree but I think the Bengals could surprise with Pitt or WR ........weapons for their franchise QB. Can get their T in the 2nd round...

Daniel Jeremiah just said on the NFL Network that there are rumblings that San Francisco traded up to 3 to draft Mac Jones. :omg:

I just can’t see it but if they fall in love with a guy, I suppose they might.

That would be crazy...

So its kind of odd what's going on so Rapaport reported the Eagles tried to trade up and get Wilson. I'm assuming it had to be their 1st this year and their 1st next year at the minimum. Rappaort has since deleted the tweet and some are saying he retraced it but all I see is him saying "The Eagles thought highly of Wilson". Maybe someone came down on him hard for showing the Eagles hand. I have no doubt in my mind they tried to get Wilson.

To draft Mac Jones? Damn....I thought it was Wilson, Lawrence and Fields as the top 3 guys....hell I thought Lance might've even been 4...very odd.

On the NFL Network, Rappoport corrected it to that he knew the Eagles really liked Wilson but that they decided to move back to 12 for the extra picks.

I got the distinct impression when he said that, that he was chastised for that tweet and that Philly didn’t want the impression out that they were trying to get anyone other than Hurts. At the end of his correction he said that Philly will have extra picks next year if they want to move around the draft, and then he got an amused look on his face like he left unsaid “in case they want to go get a QB in next year’s draft”. There were clearly things left out that he wanted to say.

It was odd but pretty clearly Philadelphia didn’t want it out that they had tried and failed to get Wilson... which I think is actually what happened.
