Draft thoughts a month away!

It would be ballsey, but sometimes you need to have balls to get ahead.

Its all in how confident the team is in the coaches to get the most out of the talent.

Williams wouldnt be my first choice at 44, but I wouldn't be upset either. He is raw, but its not he was garbage in college like Hill was
I much rather take a 3T from a bigger school, who has played against top competition.

Let's hope Milton is further along if they did draft him.
I think for 2021, he would have a role. I dont think he would be an every down player. He may move around for 3T to 4T to LDE. He could be a matchup based player, where you line him up over someone me may be able to physically overwhelm.

The amount of time he gets could coincide with us actually acquiring Reed. As well as if Hill actually developes. If we do sign Reed, Williams would probably get maybe 300 snaps next year

I think if drafted, he might be playing that 4T LE role in Quinn's scheme. He played most as of 5T and is suppose to be very good against the run. He will have the ability to kick inside against the pass.

At 44 there are a lot of guys I would take before them but I was thinking in round 3.
That's where many are projecting him, but if the Cowboys love him, they may take him earlier or trade up to get him.

I don't think they would reach like that but if they did I would be a little upset.

I don't think Holland is a bad fit. I keep reading that. But he is so much like Kazee, who also wasn't supposed to be athletic enough to play high safety.

Not every dude needs to be Earl Thomas.

To me, Holland should be the pick at 44

I also believe the team will reach for Milton at some point. Probably in the second, so my dreams of Holland will likely be dashed

-Think the team is zeroing in on taking either Surtain or Horn at 10. Don't see them trading back and it wouldn't surprise me if Horn is rated higher. Heard Quinn has a close relationship with South Carolina's HC. Read recently that a NFL Scout said, the media is projecting him too low, he is up there with the top guys. Think only Pitts or Sewell would change them from going in another direction.

-With all the safety signings this week, it supports the notion that the safety position is the most important in Quinn's scheme to work. Think they finally use a premium pick at the position. Perhaps they get aggressive and go get Moehrig or Grant in a trade up or just take Molden as a conversion. Don't see Holland as an option as he is a poor fit as a single high.

-Just like Safety, I think they finally address the 1 Tech DT. There are rumblings that they are looking at the top 1T's in this year's class, which is very encouraging to say the least.

-They reportedly love Milton Williams for LA Tech, he is a DE/3T prospect. A name to watch at 44 or 75.

-Think DL is going to be a major focus, not so much for 3T. but everywhere else. Many fans are downplaying the need behind Tank/Gregory, it is a huge hole to address even after the Basham signing.

-Don't think they view Linebacker as a dire need to address, even if they don't sign a KJ Wright and just bring back Sean Lee. My hunch is, we will probably see them take a day 3 linebacker nobody has ever heard and turns out to be another Hitchens type.

-10 picks, doesn't mean they are going to draft 10 players. Could see them using the extra comp picks to trade up for targeted players. They certainly have the ammo to do so.

Stranger things have happened but don't be surprised to see Moehrig make it within range of 44. In other words, we could come out this with Surtain AND Moehrig.

I really hope not, don't care what he tested, he is another raw, developmental prospect.
I’d be ok with him in the third... but I’d rather go in a different direction at 44.

Williams is a rare athlete for the DL, so I would totally get it in the third.

Maybe trade up to the top of the third if they’re worried about Cincy getting him. Much better than going there at 44, IMO.

no reason to use 10 picks only to cut half of them. quality over quantity

Both 3rd rd picks, could get us back there.

I don't see either Moehrig or Grant there at 44. They are going to have to trade up.

solid analysis...as always.
i like both surtain and horn so to get a cb of that quality to pair with diggs makes me very happy.
i fell in love with richie grant...hope we get him but i have a feeling he might go bottom 1 or very early 2.
other s's i like are...paris ford,pitt...the cisco kid,syracuse...richard lecounte,georgia.
i could easily see de at 44 if our s targets get picked over.
lotta dt's i like up and down the board...i feel confident we'll land a good'n.

Yeah, but better than 44, IMO.

If they like him that much and have a plan to use him, then move up and get him. You can’t knock a team liking a guy and making it happen. I’d rather that then simply sitting on their hands and have them lose guys they want just before they pick.

I too would love Grant, but I think they need to jump back in the 1st rd to draft him. Really do believe if a Safety isn't there at 44, they will be looking at the Edge rushers.

I really like Holland. His testing will matter because there are questions about his speed. I don’t see it it when you watch him on tape. His ball skills and instincts give you hope that he could play the single high. If he runs well he becomes an intriguing option.

I Think with all DB signed, do you think the FO pick another DB early?
