If Kyle Pitts is gone, I have no problem if they trade down into the teens and either still get one of those CBs or maybe JOK or Barmore.

I'm willing to bet that the "many" that say there is no defender worthy of Top 10 aren't pining for Surtain.
how big a difference is their from Surtain to CB2? big gap not much trade down take another around 15 get extra picks..whos the second best CB? or CB people think re better then Surtain?

Good questions. I don't know. I don't know what others think either, so there's that.

If Surtain is gone and they decide to trade down, the VT kid may be gone depending how far down they trade but if they drop to say 18th to 22nd would have no problem with Horn out of SC. He is good and physical at line of scrimmage. Take him and S out of UCF and then in 3rd take DT McNeill out of NC State and we are rolling.

Just so you know, whoever you like at each of our picks will be gone by then.

Also, this draft class looks like a mine field with opt outs, a lot of teams playing a shortened season, restrictions on player visits, and no officlal combine the evaluations are much more difficult.

Pro bowl talent to starter within two years. A lot of people think Horn is a better fit for us.

i feel the same,to me Pitts is the top choice at 10.I would prefer a trade down if he is gone but would be happy with Surtain or Slater if they cant trade down.

BTW i luv how this place

many said no defender is worth taking top 10 and we should move down are now worried Surtian is gone before 10..which is it LOL :omg::facepalm::huh::laugh:
The Farley back situation becoming public changed the landscape a bit.

IMO it was a given that one or the other would be there, now one has fallen out of that range so its kind of a sweat for people who want a corner.

Surtain is safe. Solid but not spectacular. Some people won't like the pick, but our needs don't at all line up with players who are likely to be on the board at 10.

In fact he is the only player I see projected around 10 who would start here immediately.

As far as the difference to the #2 cb, I dont think its much...and it wouldn't at all surprise me if guys like Horn or Stokes end up being better NFL players than Surtain....but there's no chance they are drafted around 10.

What we need is a deal down, but that can't be counted on.....also, if Jerry is staring at a starting corner for cheap for five years I can't see him passing.

that my thoughts but Farley's back situation was overblown dont you think, dont he just perform very wel at the pro day ran great 40? i mean after back surgery so recently..hmm..wasn't Parson LB on our radar if Surtain is gone or what If its Surtain vs parsons at 10 whos your pick?

better yet whos the DC picking in the same scenario? we do NEED both both are acceptable at 10..so??

No way to know the real deal on his back from my seat.

Farley was all along the guy I wanted, but we can't be risking pick 10 on that.

I'm not a Parsons fan at all actually.

I think he is more of an athlete than football player.
His instincts have been questioned. We already have that player in #54.

I'm not a fan of taking corners high due to the rules, don't like Parsons...so one can see I want to trade out of pick 10 in a big way.

so how far down, what our compensation and then i assume Horn is our next target but where? 12-14-16? we can go to far down and miss our target and have team jump us for the same guy..

If you're asking me....and we deal down....I would take Moehrig. Thats an unpopular pick because most mocks have him late first, but if it solves a 15 year problem at FS.

There are solid corners to be had on Friday, especially with the extra pick gained by dealing down.

Moehrig is IMO the only safety in the entire draft capable of starting day one no doubt. I would go as far as to take him at 10, but a deal down to say 14-18 and we probably still get him.

Plus he is a local kid and went to TCU.

Thats the guy I really want to somehow end up with.
