Sam Darnold traded to the Panthers

Got him for peanuts. Going to learn under that bright young OC, Joe Brady, who developed Burrow @LSU.

When the coaching vacancy opened up at Dallas I wanted Urban as the HC and Brady as OC.

I think Darnold will be well coached at the very least.

Admit to not being totally familiar with Panthers full roster but I do like both Rhule and Brady as young coaches with potential imo.

I could see Carolina still taking a QB. Sam Darnold doesn’t exactly lock that position up for the next decade. If it ends up he does then trade the other guy for more than they gave up for Darnold.

Well he is a bust so far. He showed zero ounce of talent outside a few games here and there (one being against our terrible defense). That might change later but as of now, he is 100% a bust.

That's about 650 draft points for all 3. Where he was drafted is 2,200 points.

Yeah, highly doubt Carolina trades out of the 8th spot. More likely to try and surround Darnold with a blue chip offensive player. Say who ever is left of the WR's, or Pitts, or Sewell/Slater ...

Pitts won’t last last Miami’s pick and I doubt the Cowboys would pick a WR in round one. I go Slater if he’s available. Plenty of good CB’s and S to be had in rounds two and three. Let’s sure up that oline first as otherwise all that money invested in QB, RB and WR will be a waste.

We won't be getting a much better elite offensive player that will help this team more.
A defensive player at 44 won't be that much of a drop off that we could get at 10.

Surtain is still the consensus pick at 10 anyway.

I think he is in the last year of his rookie contract so he is basically trying out for not only the Panthers but also a handful of other teams.

I don't think it takes them out of the running entirely, but I think it decreases the chance drastically. Darnold is peanuts this year, has a club option next year and they're still paying Bridgewater for two more years.

Panthers need a lot so I don't think they're locked into a position, but if you like Parsons/Surtain, you might be shifting around a bit more uncomfortably right now.

Obviously you cant spot blue chip talent, because we have plenty of it on offense. More than we need actually.

And obviously you cant see the blue chip talent in Surtain.

No but it isn’t like this team has a ton of older players either that you need to replace in a year.

Now if the Cowboys get creative and say take Pitts or Chase and then flip Gallup for more picks, then I can get behind that.
