The answer to the first question is, let's see how he does behind the healthy OL in 2021. The answer to the 2nd question is, no. I would not use a 2nd round pick on a RB when there are so many other needs on this team. However, I would definitely consider using the 3rd round comp pick or early 4th round pick on a RB if one is available. btw, I am hoping we have preseason games this year so w can see what Rico Dowdle can do. I thought in limited plays last year he showed some things.

As an FYI, cutting Zeke after 2021 saves $1.6 million against the CAP even with $10.8 million in dead CAP money. Cutting him after 2022 saves $4.2 million. I do think they should prepare to move on from Zeke over the next 2 years.
Elliot had one good season his rookie season. After that it’s been nothing but turmoil for him. So I kind of agree let’s see how we can do with everything in tact. Nothing hanging over our heads healthy. And then you’re right next year is the year

Umm. Zeke's second year in the league he finished top 10 in rushing and missed 6 games. He was the leading rusher until his suspension. We need to chill a bit. lol

Doesn’t matter where he finished. He was in turmoil. He was getting suspended. And that was hanging over his head imagine with the numbers could’ve been

So the point still stands he’s only had one solid season in my opinion. So let’s see what happens this year and then either hello or goodbye. Probably goodbye

Dallas does need a FB heavy hitter. On the other hand, I recall the Honey Badger shutting Zeke's outside runs down. Maybe trade him for a back that can juke or runover people? He remind me a lot of Witten. Pick up 3 yards and then flops over.

I have to Disagree. Only because you don’t play that type of game . Yeah but I love to go back to I forgot Tampa Bay the full backs name. A guy like that

Dallas should be in the market for a depth RB regardless. But not in the top 50 picks.
One of those R3 or R4 if the value is right then sure.
Zeke's situation will crystalize across the season. No decision should be made either way now.
He's the lead dog, every down back.
Pollard and Zeke until 2023 - no reason to spend picks on anybody right now - 6 or 7th round is fine but RB is probably the lowest priority in the draft for me.

Do we keep Zeke for next season ( not this coming season)? If not do we make a move on Sermon in round 2? Zeke makes a ton of money. Sermon is a cheaper version of Zeke imho. It is an interesting take I think. It bears thought...
that can be said about AC, LC, JS, and Dlaw..all of them is conundrum and can be released 2022 with the least amount of dead cap starting that year..so ? lets stop pickig on EE..none of them played or played well last year enough to cover those huge contracts..

I don't know. Jerome Bettis was a great heavy hitter RB. I am just saying, if you have to keep him because of his contract, maybe you can change his roll on the team. But as a #1 HB, I don't think Zeke has the wiggle or speed any more to create missed tackles like a Kamara

There's no way a RB is worth the money Zeke is making.

Weather we keep him or not after this year hopefully the doofuses in the FO learned their lesson with this waste of money.

That lesson is? A RB in the modern age of football is a dime a dozen.

his contract is GTD through 2022.

That will give him 7 seasons.

and about 2100 carries.

Use your 2nd rounder this year for a TB because you might cut Elliott after the season?

Nah. Bad use of resources.

It was a mistake signing Elliott to that deal.

Yet McCaffrey makes more than Zeke and Kamara makes the same as Zeke.

Can’t tell yet until we see him play this year.
