Might be my last stab at this...trading back with NE who's looking to come up and get a QB. We trade 10 / 115 and get 15 / 46.

1 - 15: Ojulari, DE - DE1 falls, and gives us long term stability at DE with the uncertainty surrounding Gregory. Perfect fit for LEO role.

2 - 44: Cosmi, OT - in a loaded OT class, Cosmi falls to the 2nd. One of the best OT athletes in the class, just needs some refinement to technique. Tools to turn into quality starting OT in NFL.

2 - 46: Holland, S - versatile safety with ability to play slot corner for us. Pairs up with Diggs to give us 2 DBs with + ball skills.

3 - 75: Adebo, CB - solid CD prospect that slides due to injury and a loaded class. Not an elite athlete, but like Surtain a polished CB with a ton of college snaps and + ball skills.

3 - 99: Wilson, DT - another slider due to 2020 injuries. One of the few balanced DTs in the class that gives you run D and pass rush.

4 - 138: Werner, LB - Parsons is one of my favorite in the class, but if we miss him in the 1st I'm ok waiting a bit to address LBr.

5 - 179: Newcome, WR / PR - can grow into future slot WR and gives us some PR juice.

A few thoughts:

- I"m one of the biggest Parsons fans on here, but if the opportunity presents itself to add a 2nd rounder I'm taking it. In a weak class for top 10 talent for defense, I like the idea of adding a pick and still being able to take one of the best defenders in the draft. Ojulari is exactly what you're looking for in the LEO role.
- Firm believer in taking what the draft gives you. Outside of Sewell, this class doesn't have blue chip talent at DB / OL but is loaded with depth which means good players will slide. That being said, I think it's a great year to get great value at the positions in rounds 2-4.
- If I don't think a CB can be lockdown and follow #1s around, I don't like the idea of taking them in the top 10. I like Surtain / Horn but think they are very overrated due to not being elite, quick twitch athletes. Add in we're going to be zone heavy I think it makes more sense to wait on addressing CB.

Follows my plan to upgrade the defense. Get better against the run Wilson does that, get more take aways Adebo and Holland are ball hawks, and get to the passer Ojulari is a good one.

Like the first 5 picks except Cosmi. Kind of have the same worries about him as I do with Connor Williams. Needs to get stronger. I get the pick, just not high on the player. Adebo is sneaky good for Quinn's scheme.

What’s the uncertainty with Gregory? Anything other than a CB in the first round is a F- in my opinion. Can’t ignore the biggest weakness this team has had for a decade+ anymore.

Fair enough - outside of the top 3 OTs, I see a lot of this class moving to G. Trying to find the more athletic profile that has the ability to stick. Cosmi and Rodunsz fit that mold for me.

That he hasn’t stayed on the field the last few years and he’s on a 1 year contract.

If you go into a top 10 draft pick with only 1 position being acceptable that is an F draft strategy IMO.

I have seen Walker Little get a lot of attention, even some believe he is a 1st rd talent. Due to is injuries and not playing last season, I wonder if he could be had late day 3. In my opinion, I think they view the linebacker need more pressing then Tackle. We could see a linebacker in that range and perhaps more of a developmental type of Tackle late day 2, early day 3.

Super intriguing prospect, just a little scary.

I see Parsons, Collins and Davis all gone before our 2nd round pick. If that’s the case, I’m out in LBr in the 2nd.

I struggle seeing them wait to rd 3 to address the corner, perhaps they take a corner at 44 (Stokes/Meli) and a linebacker at 75 like Browning or Cox.

Browning and Cox don’t do a lot for me. Browning is a 2 down SAM, and Cox lacks instincts and is bad against the run.

Hate a top 100 pick on those kind of dudes.

I love Olujari. But when does he see the field ? There’s Gregory and Basham. We all think Basham is just a body but even if you jump him on the depth chart Gregory is going to be the guy. Internally if they feel that Gregory isn’t there for whatever reason then Olujari makes sense.

DL always rotates a ton...and we’re looking long term not just rookie year.

IMO it’s hard to justify taking a player like that when there is a glaring need at CB and guys like Surtain or Horn that you expect to step in and start and not ever come off the field.

IMO you can fill that need in rounds 2/3 with the depth of the class and us being a zone heavy scheme.

I don’t think there’s a big drop off from Surtain to the next tier of CBs. After Ojulari / Phillips, there is a massive drop off at DE.

@44 there are other higher graded OTackles IMO but I'd also consider tackle there.
when people are comparing Horn to Sherman I take that.

I like Browning upside more then I do Cox. The positional group is so thin with many question marks, they need to add quality players to the group.

I view Surtain differently. I think he’s going to be a star and a day1 starter. And as much as I like Ojulari, I don’t think he’s a better player.

Taking Pitts at 10 and taking a linebacker and corner on the next two picks is not a F-. Also, they can sign Sherman, or the Charger corner as well.
