Just a question on Sewell, want yalls opinion because I'm a worse scout than a lot of you lol

We all love Pitts, but it seems like in the last month the entire world suddenly realized Pitts is great and they didn't know this before. It's really odd to me how the narrative on him went from "dont draft a TE in the top 10" to "maybe trade up for Pitts". He just got super hot in the media all of a sudden.

Additionally, Slater's stock has been a gradual climb since January and now he's mentioned top 10 all the time, sometimes ahead of Sewell.

I feel like the hype around other prospects has made people forget how good and young Sewell is. I view Sewell, Lawrence, and Pitts as the absolute top tier of the draft but with the way the hype is going we might just get a chance at Sewell. Meanwhile, no way Lawrence or Pitts get to 10.

Im just wondering if you guys think im overrating Sewell because I never really climbed off that horse and I still view him as a can't-pass-on prospect if he somehow makes it to 10.

With the way Pitts' stock exploded, this might be hated, but I'd probably take Sewell over Pitts. I think they both basically have no clear ceiling, but one is a TE and the other can be a probowl LG year one, a LT insurance policy year one, and then a long term answer at LT once Tyron goes down. Someone else can have the pass catcher.

Ok everyone tell me how wrong I am

If Sewell is there at 10 you take him. The only thing I don’t like is that he’s not nasty. Jenkins is nasty but he plays RT so putting him at LG wouldn’t work. But man i would love some nastiness back on the line.

Sowell is the pick. We will probably have to move up a few places to get him, well worth it imho.

If Sewell and Pitts were still there (ain't a chance in hell but if) Jerry wouldn't be able to not take the splashy pick in Pitts.

Seemed locked in as the 3rd overall pick during the season. I think QB need and maybe arm length dropped him a bit

His stock has dropped cause of his recent pro day. Tested less then expected and his arm length came up short.

Anyone that would take a TE over a blue chip LT is just dumb. Especially when TE is a low end need and LT is a need.

Too many numbskulls on social media nowadays.

Sewell is a generational beast.

Pitts, Slater and all of the others are not.

Dont be surprised if the Chargers try to move up to get Sewell
They love him and Herbert wants him badly....and Sewell calls them his dream destination (to again protect his buddy Herbert)
Would be tough to pull it off

Franchise LT’s don’t fall in drafts. So either teams aren’t sold on him or we are going to get very lucky.

A lot of people are saying that Pitts, Lawrence and Parsons are generational type players. Guessing you don't read too much draft stuff.
