The O-line last season was a disaster full of injuries. If Sewell is there at 10, how do you pass a guy like him up? We can still grab quality db's in the 2nd round or free agency, especially after training camp and final cuts.

It was a disaster... due to injury. Guys are coming back. D was a disaster due to starters. Period. You need day one starters on the defensive side of the ball. Diggs was a nice find last year, but it's a gamble to think you're finding a legit starter later on.

Really? If the blue chipper is a qb , you reading him with the contract your qb have, if you have a starter on that blue chipper position and he's going to sit are you picking him?

It’s always case by case, but sure.

If Lawrence somehow fell for some insane reason, you’d take him and trade Prescott.

Lol...you trade Prescott and eat the dead Money? I think not, would kill your cap, Plus you trading a known for an unknown, that would be crazy.

Plus your ol depth go valuable experience and what's the likelihood they all have to play together as a unit again next year, plugging in 1 here or 2 there for a couple games is way different than playing all your backups on the ol line at once, if all your starters go down again on the oline even if you have Sewell it's going to be a disaster.

Smith misses multiple games a year for the last few seasons. Martin is starting to get banged up. Collins needs to come back strong otherwise we are in the same boat as last year with a 140M QB getting slammed to the turf every week.

Do I need to really list the defensive issues? Worst in team history, can't tackle, can't stop the run or the pass. Basically a disaster everywhere you look. Any quality player on that side is few and far between. If they're planning on moving on from someone yes. if they're drafting in the event of an injury "just in case".. that's a problem.

Don't care about the CB position? Right now we have one starter on the roster at CB and I'm not fond of a rookie starter there, but we passed on veteran CBs in Free agency so right now the only way to get one seems to be the draft. If we draft Slater, Sewell or Pitts, we lose Surtain and Joe Horn. Not only is Surtain a great pick at 10, He fits a need and arguably the BPA on defense side of the ball. Why would you do anything else on draft day but take him.?
Two reasons, One, Boys have too many holes on defense (CB is one of them) and offense (Oline). Two, a trade down to a few spots will help out the team in the long run, even if the trade down is for a future pick. In the end, I do not think Pitts or Sewell will be there at 10. If Slater or Surtain are there, I am good with either one, but if a team wants to trade up, then do it.

Where Is the hole on the offensive line?

You believe Smith is going to finish the season?

That's not the point, he may. I don't know and neither does anybody else, if he does, or miss a game or two is that what you want in your first rounder?

As mentioned I am ok with Surtain, no argument there, but there is a logical reason to draft the best available player. Who is rated higher Surtain or Slater and do both bring something to the team? I think so.

If Smith and Collins plays the season, then Slater brings nothing. Surtain is day 1 starter
That's mainly what I'm saying.

I'm not worrying about 2022, they can make a move on Cooper or Gallup in 2022 with or without Pitts, you have Lamb right now who can move to 1 or 2 in the WR position, finding a 3rd wr in 2022 is not hard.
What about finding a 3rd WR and a starting tight end?
