Why is valid criticism hatred? The NFL is a business about winning. Maybe the country club atmosphere where everybody is buddies is the reason why the team hasn’t won anything in over 25 years? We’re too busy polishing participation trophies.
I never once said valid criticism was hatred. The guy is gone. Finally. Guys have begged and pleaded for it for years. It finally happens. He's a retired ex-Cowboy now. Nothing wrong with valid criticism but blaming him or his injuries and the contract JERRY GAVE HIM is just silly.

And the same atmosphere now they have is the same one they had when Jimmy was here. Them sucking for 25 years has very little to do with the atmosphere.

A few guys around here are awfully sensitive about any criticism directed at the team. I'd name them but we all know who they are. It's the usual message of trying to tell everyone else how to be a fan because they disagree with comments suggesting how the team needs to get better. If these guys want to unconditionally love the team or a player, fine but there really isn't too many true haters on this board. I expect us to be 7-9, 8-8 or 9-7 this year and if that makes me a hater, so be it...
Nothing wrong with valid criticism...but if you are just hating with no valid points or criticism then yes that's simply hatred. Not sure why people even care about being a hater...its not the worst thing in the world to be called....

Sorry but it’s part of the entire package. Fans don’t get to pick and choose just the parts that they like.

That is an outright falsehood.

All because he was never good enough to establish himself at one position. The retroactive sugar-coating is nauseating.
I don’t think they ever wanted him to play one position
He wasn’t a super star but he was a solid player who did lots of the dirty work and helped with depth at ever dline position

That was his main issue. He would have been a great depth guy, but he started year after year bc the front office did not prioritize the DL.

You don’t pay a guy top dollar to float around without a home or being a major contributor. That’s a recipe for failure, not success.

And never came close to being worth it. And he was flat out terrible for the past several years. But still went right up to the pay window.

The Tyrone Crawford situation was a flat out disgrace and something that this organization should be called out for.

It’s not necessarily that it’s “hate”, it’s more that this is a thread about D-Law’s bond with Crawford and how he saved Lawrence’s career. Coming to this thread to pile on Crawford is strange to me, as we always pile on him and his underwhelming play in relation to his pay. Why not stay positive on a thread about the bond formed between teammates?

Again I don’t care either way just not the type of person to see such a positive story and get negative. Say a player did something really positive, I’m just not the type of poster to come into a positive thread to crap on a player I may not like. But hey, it’s an open forum and we are all different so it is what it is.

Exactly. And that's all I'm saying. I just don't get it and maybe I shouldn't. If people want to discuss his career that's fine. But attacking the guy and bringing negativity into this type of thread about a guy who's just retired? I don't know maybe I'm just sensitive in that regard but it just seems cheap and unnecessary. Especially for a guy like Crawford who did everything right. The worst thing he did is sign a contract Jerry gave him.

i mean you don’t have to convince me that Jerry Jones is the ultimate cowboys problem lol.

I have nothing against Crawford as a person.

I just personally couldn’t care less about him retiring..... on to the next player.

i only care when excellent players retire, and guys who have won something. I still miss Troy and emmitt and Irvin
I mean we disagree and that's fine. I could careless about guys who retire who weren't here long....but I don't know I saw Tyrone Crawford as a rookie here until his last snap. We've followed him for 9 years. That means something. No, I won't go out and buy a Crawford jersey but 9 years is a long time. I just feel as fans he should get a little respect at least for that tenure but I get it.

I agree he was paid too much
I don’t judge players by what they get paid
He was over paid because of Jerry
From the draft to the last year or so he’s been a very solid player
I think some fans judge jaylon the same way
He’s over paid and they consider him a bum
He’s not a terrible player
He’s just paid to be a better player than he is
Crawford was much the same
If he had been paid a cheap salary fans would have loved what he brought to the game
But he’s judged by a contract not his play

Nice try for you as well. It is what it is. Some fans can’t handle valid criticism.

What you are doing "isn't valid criticism". And if you think anyone has a issue with valid criticism then you aren't paying attention. And what a ODD thread to try and give "valid criticism" in....you know what you're doing. Its the same thing you've done for years on this site. He's finally gone and you still can't let him go. I don't get it but its not for me to get.

Sorry but it’s part of the entire package. Fans don’t get to pick and choose just the parts that they like.

What do you mean
Not at all. You think Jerry all of a sudden changed soon as Jerry left? You think Irvin, Emmitt, etc. wasn't coddled? You think Deion wasn't? Charles Haley? I know it sounds good in theory to think Jimmy was this hard *** but Jerry always ran this organization this way. And no one had a issue with it because we won games and Super Bowls.

And I think that's what I don't understand. Why are Jaylon and Tyrone looked at as if they are Greg Hardy? It just seems personal for some guys. I'm not saying like them or don't criticize them...but it just seems a bit much to all of a sudden want to give "valid criticism" in a thread about Lawrence saying good bye to a team mate who did a lot of this career..

And the name will forever be associated with a huge mistake. If people don’t want that huge mistake brought up, don’t bring up the name. They’re forever connected.

Actually he wasn’t.

As it should be. The NFL is a results business, not a country club. Looks like some people forget that.

So when regular folks are asked to cover a position at work they should tell their boss your doing me no favor moving me to that position?! o_O
Not if they are team players or afraid that their skills aren't good enough to merit him asking that.
