So, all I see is a wall of excuses and you ignoring my question about Kirk Cousins, so I don't really have anything else to say because this is just me responding to your excuses for Dak and then you ignoring the one simple questions I asked you to answer.
excuses? what excuses. I am just posting your own narrative and logic, which seemingly is changing as posts go along.
Kirk Cousin? over rated. Washington was dumb for giving him two franchise tags and Minn dumber for giving him such guaranteed contracts....he is 100% one of those QBs that needed a lot of help to succeed, specially a defense to keep the score low. a true stat collector, who lost a lot of games because of his short comings and lost a lot of games in Washington.. never could keep washington competitive. not a good locker room guy that any of his teammates liked or came to his defense....I used to live in DC area and people celebrated when he was finally let go.. he benefited from a very strong defense in Minn. top 5 and one year #1 defense keeping scores low and allowing him to be the bus driver and conservative.
with that said, what I have seen from Dak from his first year to now is growth. growth in his game. growth in his ability as a QB....many people like yourself look at one piece of stat to make a case, which is like shutting one eye, putting a peep hole on the other and driving in an nascar race and saying I see fine!......there are many factors that go into evaluation of the QB than the record in the playoffs in 5 years.....everything has to be taken into consideration. you mentioned Cousins and I use your own line of logic, when you said Brady would have won three championships in dallas (my opinion is he would have won zero), that if Dak had zimmer and that truly dominating defense, then he would have already won a superbowl.
Where Dak is able to raise his game (like in the 4th quarter evident from his 4th quarter comeback wins) Cousins shrinks, much like Dalton shrinks on big occasions.I am sure your comeback is going to be the philly game in 2019 and that he didn't raise to the occasion. but you forget no QB (NO QB) has 100% success rate at every important game, every important juncture and every important game that matters....some have higher percentage (ala brady), some lower, sand some shrink....Brady is obviously the exception...... where you tend to only focus on one season, couple of games, I tend to look at progress over time and the overall body of work and most importantly circumstances.....and where you thought Brady would have led this team to the playoffs, I would venture to say if Dak didn't get injured he would have led the team to the playoffs as well...given the heavy playoff teams we played early in the season vs. what/who we played at the end of the season....and I seriously doubt that Brady would have made it to the superbowl with a defense that was among the worst in NFL history....
also, 2019....what a year. what a culture. coaching staff on the last year of their contract. win the superbowl or else you are all fired. coaches fighting on the sideline and the infighting and a first year OC with all of 1 year coaching experience. and you wonder what happened....tell me how many QBs would have succeeded in that situation......and no way in heck we would have made the superbowl with the 2019 team even with Brady. not in that culture or situation. no way
like I have said, you a fault finder. your focus is solely on the negative. you have not said one positive thing about anyone on the team or Dak and have solely focused on Dak and finding faults. yet never offered any viable alternative.....
