News: ESPN: Cowboys 'impressed' with Dak's rehab progress

Why would anyone want that? lol

I am a fan of the Cowboys over being a fan of a single player. It seems like a lot you guys aren't happy unless certain players are the ones doing the winning.
Because you don’t want to be proven wrong is why.

The legend of the 5 year, 1-2 playoff record Qb that hasn’t won squat, can only grow with this fan base.....the rest of the NFL knows better

Never before has so much asss kissing been bestowed on someone who has accomplished so little.
That's a poor argument. How many playoff games do you think Drew Brees and Payton Manning won their first 5 years?

Cowboys Points allowed / Yards Allowed:
1992: 5th / 1st
1993: 2nd / 10th
1994: 3rd / 1st
1995: 3rd / 9th

2016: 5th / 14th
2017: 13th / 8th
2018: 6th / 7th
2019: 11th / 9th
2020: 28th / 23rd

It's up to you, but perhaps your upset is directed at the wrong side of the ball.

Yeah, a lot of other QBs never won anything in their first 5 years either.... and never won anything after that also.

Why do people only bring up the success stories when there are WAY MORE stories of failure? Wishful thinking? Blinded by the star on the helmet? What?

2019 we went 8-8. We lost 3 games in which our defense held our opponents to 17 points or less.

What's your excuse for that one?

The bright spot would throw at least 1 measly TD in three extremely low scoring games. The bright spot don't have terrible numbers against any defense with a pulse. I'm sorry, but I'm a realist when it comes to Dak and that's not going to change until he proves me wrong.

OK...so the entire rest of the offense gets a pass?

Got it...no agenda on your part.

Cherry picking a couple of poor games doesn't seem like a good way to evaluate a QB, but okay. Looking at these games I would say that not all 17 point games are the same.

Against the Eagles, Pollard loses a fumble, and we don't get any turnovers. Right there we only have a 25% chance of winning. We were down by 10 early; Wentz only missed 9 passes the whole game. Elliott gains just 47 yards on 13 carries. Dak plays okay at best. QBR is 39.7

Against NE, Dak throws a pick and Brady doesn't. Otherwise the game stats look nearly identical.

Against New Orleans Dak and Bridewater both throw picks, but Witten and Elliot both fumble yielding a -2 turnover ratio. A -2 turnover differential puts us at ~10% chance to win.

So sure, throw the New England game on Dak for being the source of our turnover differential. It's hard for me to get too upset with Dak and his ~10 INTs a year. Aikman had some 5 INT games. I loved Romo but he would lose a game or two a season from his INTs. We don't see that with Dak, and I personally don't live in a world in which QB must play perfectly every game for us to be able to win.

So basically everyone should give up and go home because almost everyone fails?

That NE game had some insane weather affecting it also, if I do recall.

So, all I see is a wall of excuses and you ignoring my question about Kirk Cousins, so I don't really have anything else to say because this is just me responding to your excuses for Dak and then you ignoring the one simple questions I asked you to answer.
excuses? what excuses. I am just posting your own narrative and logic, which seemingly is changing as posts go along.

Kirk Cousin? over rated. Washington was dumb for giving him two franchise tags and Minn dumber for giving him such guaranteed contracts....he is 100% one of those QBs that needed a lot of help to succeed, specially a defense to keep the score low. a true stat collector, who lost a lot of games because of his short comings and lost a lot of games in Washington.. never could keep washington competitive. not a good locker room guy that any of his teammates liked or came to his defense....I used to live in DC area and people celebrated when he was finally let go.. he benefited from a very strong defense in Minn. top 5 and one year #1 defense keeping scores low and allowing him to be the bus driver and conservative.

with that said, what I have seen from Dak from his first year to now is growth. growth in his game. growth in his ability as a QB....many people like yourself look at one piece of stat to make a case, which is like shutting one eye, putting a peep hole on the other and driving in an nascar race and saying I see fine!......there are many factors that go into evaluation of the QB than the record in the playoffs in 5 years.....everything has to be taken into consideration. you mentioned Cousins and I use your own line of logic, when you said Brady would have won three championships in dallas (my opinion is he would have won zero), that if Dak had zimmer and that truly dominating defense, then he would have already won a superbowl.

Where Dak is able to raise his game (like in the 4th quarter evident from his 4th quarter comeback wins) Cousins shrinks, much like Dalton shrinks on big occasions.I am sure your comeback is going to be the philly game in 2019 and that he didn't raise to the occasion. but you forget no QB (NO QB) has 100% success rate at every important game, every important juncture and every important game that matters....some have higher percentage (ala brady), some lower, sand some shrink....Brady is obviously the exception...... where you tend to only focus on one season, couple of games, I tend to look at progress over time and the overall body of work and most importantly circumstances.....and where you thought Brady would have led this team to the playoffs, I would venture to say if Dak didn't get injured he would have led the team to the playoffs as well...given the heavy playoff teams we played early in the season vs. what/who we played at the end of the season....and I seriously doubt that Brady would have made it to the superbowl with a defense that was among the worst in NFL history....

also, 2019....what a year. what a culture. coaching staff on the last year of their contract. win the superbowl or else you are all fired. coaches fighting on the sideline and the infighting and a first year OC with all of 1 year coaching experience. and you wonder what happened....tell me how many QBs would have succeeded in that situation......and no way in heck we would have made the superbowl with the 2019 team even with Brady. not in that culture or situation. no way

like I have said, you a fault finder. your focus is solely on the negative. you have not said one positive thing about anyone on the team or Dak and have solely focused on Dak and finding faults. yet never offered any viable alternative.....

Nobody is rooting against Dak, some of us just have realistic expectations for him.
you seem like one who would rather see Dak fail and the team fail so you can say "I told you so", as opposed to seeing the team succeed with Dak...you just can't fathom the team succeeding.

you made an assumption that his leg is not healed. everyone of you haters here was calling him gimpy, etc....now you are claiming he is not being chased by 300lb lineman, he must not be healed.... you are so so so desparate for anything negative you go to the ends of the world to try and be negative...what is with you?

and here you go with insults....can I ask you are angry because I did the same to you and you are looking to get even or something...you sound very desperate and acting and jumping on anything to just attack...

I didn't rush to his defense. I took the news. he is healing faster than expected.

and on the contrary, didn't you rush to attack him by coming up with some kind of scenario to buy you more time...

so once he does get chased by 300lb linemen and he is fine...what's your next line of attack?

why are you acting so desperate?

Again, for the idiots who read something totally different than what I wrote: I said Dak's ankle has yet to face game time conditions, that's it. I never said it wasn't healed but keep posting your moronic nonsensical crap as you typically do and then play victim.

why are you so edgy and angry today.....everyone knew what you meant....which is not what you just said......we know who you are and its hard to disguise....

Okay, so then what's your excuse to constantly wear your Captain ****** disguise....or does that cover up for your feeble male self?

we lost three games when we scored 24 points...where was the defense?

and are you suggesting that if a defense holds a team to 17, then you should win the game? is that true for all teams and QBs?
