He ranked 77 on Dane's board.
Yall shouldnt pay attention to his rankings but his evaluation. He doesnt know where 32 teams value guys. Thats evident by his top 32 vs what was actually drafted last night. Adebo isnt a 75 corner but y'all dont have to believe me.

People keep saying JOK could be an option but why?

We just took a LB in the first. JOK is a hybrid style player. He's not a full time S. So are you really going to double dip on two guys that probably are best served playing close to the LOS?

He can be whatever you need him to be. Coverage is a strength of his whereas it is an unknown w Parsons so it would give you some insurance if Parsons struggles. Plus after this year both the current starters could be gone.
He is also clearly a first round talent that for some unknown reason has slid to the second. For me, clearly the BPA. If I can add him to my roster (even trading up to get him), I am ecstatic. By most accounts you would be getting two top 20 talents. If the coaches can't make that work, you might as well quit.

Not all corners will come off the board in rd 2, it's going to stretch into the 3rd rd.

People keep saying this but we're also interested in Molden, who is physically very similar
They see Molden as a safety, he played a similar role as Holland in college, Samuel is an outside corner who lacks size/length

Not going to debate. What's your thoughts on the player?
Very talented and athletic. High self confidence (sometimes to a fault). A bit of a gambler, but with a very high ceiling. A bit of a renegade. He can be very good with proper coaching. He’s in my top 3 of remaining CBs on the board. If he pans out, he’s going to be a steal for someone.

That's evident bc he doesn't have the medical information the team has.

All wont but I think someone of Adebo caliber wont. He was a projected first rounder just 2 years ago and he doesn't really have any huge injury and tested well. And he has the absolute best ball skills out of any cb. He's pretty much Trevon Diggs that didnt go to Alabama

Personally I think he goes in that late 2 range, but wouldn't be surprised if still there at 75. Corners will be ranked differently from team to team based on their fits, that why a player like Diggs fell last yr.

My thing is Adebo is so good IMO i wouldnt want to pass on him at 44 anyway. Thats just me though. I think him and Melifonwu are no brainers and day 1 better than Anthony Brown

Similar thoughts.

If Neal wasn’t on the roster JOK would make some sense, but definitely not now with Parsons onboard.

Building the roster with a 4-5 year window in mind, they can justify the pick. But yeah with Neal signed in free agency and given all the holes the team has right now, it's not ideal for the team to add JOK. Not ideal but I would not hate it.

I know a lot of people will not like this but I would not mind Samuel from Fl St. I know he is only 5'11" but he is smart, instinctive, has high football IQ, and fights for the ball. I like players who are smart.

I think so too...he’s a stud and CBs get overdrafted due to positional value.

Funny thing about Adebo is people hold it against him that he struggled against gabriel davis in 2019. Davis had as many touchdowns as a rookie as Ceedee did. They act like some scrub was beating Adebo.

Target Melinfonwu at 44, or Adebo at 75...later target St. Juste (name?)

Really not sweating a CB though, more interested in finishing the makeover in the middle...FS n NT.

The corner back class is one of the deepest this year and there still will be day 1 starters to choose from, might even stretch to rd 3. Outside of losing Stokes late yesterday, here are 4 corners that are excellent fits for the Cowboys:

Melifonwu-fits their prototype to a tee. Big/Long, Fast. Ideal Cover 3 Corner. They have shown major interest in him.

Campbell-has all the physical traits they look for. His biggest issue is locating the football. Was Surtain's running mate in high school.

Joseph-he is as good as the 1st tier corners. What has made me drop is character concerns. Quit LSU twice and Kentucky was happy to see him go. His game and attitude resemble Marcus Peters, who is a good corner in this league.

Adebo-another, big/long corner, but lacks elite speed. He has a knack of getting his hands on many balls. Might be there at 75.

What will help the Cowboys is there are several undersized corners who will also be selected on day 2, which they will most likely not be interested with: Samuel, Robinson, Molden (as a corner)

What bugs me is that the Joneses pretty much admitted that we need a corner. If it's a need, we should have addressed it in free agency so that we don't absolutely have to in the draft. I think we'll take one in the second even if it's a slight reach and a higher-rated player at another position is available.
