Plenty of Cowboys I dont like. But what about the guy personally, or how he is doing his job here make him likeable?
I’m not really interested in your personal feelings about him. But are you rooting for his success on the field ?

Last year his lack of production was very much tied to blocking so I expect that to get back to normal
The fumbles are something he needs to address himself
Yeah..let him carry a football during the week everywhere he goes. He should improve.

Elliott couldn’t even get 1000 yards in a 16-game season. His blocking was putrid and he coughed up the ball a bunch. Fans pay money to watch him so McCarthy and Jerry trot him out there every week while the more dangerous and better back sits the bench.

Plenty of accountability. Accountability to the fans who pay obscene amounts of money to watch their ‘stars.’ Same fans get pumped for a workout video of a RB dancing. Whatever. Only matters what one does on the field.

I used to worry about Elliott doing something stupid and getting suspended. Just the opposite now. I would smile and laugh if he did something stupid and got suspended. Best thing for the team is to void that idiotic contract.

PURE speculation on your part about "the better back". Pollard didn't even start in college...

I like Pollard but ..IN MY OPINION...I don think he could handle the full time duties...and especially the blocking. It's no surprise his 2020 blocking declined...given there wasn;t much of an o-line. It's my opinion the coaches havn't game planned the two effectively. Seemed like most of the time the game "plan" was to put Pollard in when Zeke raised his hand.

And you are right....zeke HAS to play better. Maybe a true starting QB stud and a healthy o-line will help. Yes?

Never had any problem pulling for the laundry they're wearing. I do not like Sanders, Owens or Irvin but I cheered what they did on the field.

All Elliott has to do is his job, run, block and don't put the ball on the ground. They no longer try to run the offense through him so he's more of a supporting character, paid like a lead actor, on the team now. What he does without the ball is as important as what he does with it.

Elliott is like the Hippocratic Oath. First, do no harm.

The main problem with Zeke is something I have noticed on this forum and for Cowboy fans everywhere. They over evaluate his talent because he wears a star. It's so weird the one position that doesn't get that is the qb. There has been tons of information of stats posting, that Zeke even in his prime was just above average. He had to have one of the best olines in the league to run behind. You all clamor he didn't have an oline what about Saquon or Mcaffrey, just two off the top of my head? Why pay a position when he needs everything to be great just to be above average? Volume does not equal talent.

I would rather see more of Pollard.

I'm sure Jerry will sell you the team for the right price.. and then you can start whomever you want at each position.. Best of luck to ya. If Pollard proves he can consistently outperform Zeke then I will root for him to play more too.. But people yammering for him to play more are ignoring some fairly compelling data.. Namely that in the games where both backs got at least 9 carries.. AZ, Pitt, Cincy and Philly game 2.. Zeke had the higher yards per carry averagein three of those four games. The only one where Pollard finished higher being Pitt.. In fact looking at games where they had less than 4 ypc Pollard had 8 such games to 6 for Zeke.. So basically in the games where both got a representative workload Zeke was consistently better.. and in games overall Zeke was consistently better. Too many people make the mistake of falling in love with Pollard's 2 or 3 splash plays all season and acting as if he does it all the time. The numbers say different. Pollard is perfectly cast where he is.. He's a change of pace guy.. who can take advantage of a defense geared up to stop somebody else. I don't think he can carry the whole load.. It would be interesting to see if he could.. but nothing I've see to this point says he can. Even in his start against San Fran I guarantee you the 49ers spent the entire week preparing for Zeke because the Cowboys very smartly didn't declare Zeke out until game day. Even still up until his 40 yard TD with 2 minutes left and the Niners basically having quit, Pollard began that drive with 23 yards on 10 carries. Not exactly setting the world afire.

I know your a big Zeke fan. Sorry, his days are numbered.

Pollard is a bigger play back that can thrive in our type of spread, passing offense. He is also better in the passing game. The offense would be better off with more of a 60-40 split than 80-20. I will root for Zeke to do well when he in there, but he is limited. The faster we move on from Zeke the better. So we will need other backs to step and fill that void. Pollard right now is the only guy. I would love to see them draft a RB next year on the 2nd or 3rd day of the draft.

Sorry, but nobodies preparing for Zeke anymore. They are all thanking their lucky stars when the Cowboys plod him up the middle instead of dropping Dak back.

Didn’t think he showed much foot quickness in his other videos but it looks like he’s got some burst here. Just thought I’d share.

- having an healthy talented laden OL unit will definitely help.

.- having a slimmer, quicker and more explosive zeke will help even more

...- having a coach or OC that can best scheme and design RBs in both run and pass game
would be absolutely ground breaking to this entire team. This is where i'd deeply hoped HC Mike would
help out his OC ... but i'm willing to bet the RB game will be the same ole bland- predictable -simple glitch (sigh) :(

Looking forward to seeing how he comes back from a sub par year he had in 2020.

I agree. One can hope for change. Dak has to change as much as anything to me. Passing quickly as Dak did more of in 2016 would seem natural. More slot WR passes close to the LOS. More swing passes to Zke. Get the ball out of Daks hands.

While I wasn’t in favor of caving in to Elliotts holdout he still is a threat and force to be reckoned with for defenses . And he provides our QB more time when he’s effective .

Defenses still are looking to shut him down first forcing Dak to beat them. When our running game is churning our offense is more productive chewing up time of possession leaving our defense off the field.

Our record when he gains over a 100 yards is still very impressive . His production is the key to our success. I don’t think it’s any coincidence both years he lead the league in rushing we made the playoffs.

Yeah.. we've talked about this ad nauseum but Moore simply has GOT to stop with the constant delay handoff up the middle as the #1 option in the running game. Especially now that we're weaker up the middle of the offensive line than we have been in probably a decade. Surely he can come up with something more creative than that.. Unfortunately with most of these offensive "geniuses" their genius seems to only manifest in the passing game. When it comes to the running game most of them are about as creative as Bo Schembechler and Woody Hayes. For all you too young to get that reference look it up.. It's one thing I do have to give the Shanahan's, father and son, credit for .. Their designs in the running game are as creative as their passing game calls. They make wonderful use of misdirection, tandem blocking etc. I get that the Cowboys have been more of a power team for most of Jerry's tenure here but the fact of the matter is they don't have the horses up front to be that as currently constituted. Martin, Collins and Smith when healthy can probably consistently move their man out of the hole, but since Fredbeard started falling off and Williams well.. kept being himself, we've had a noticeable weakness up the middle. Thing is we have to run there some just to keep defenses honest and set up the edge runs.. UNLESS you are creative enough to bait the defense into thinking middle and then hitting the edges. Moore has not mastered that aspect of the run game yet.. We won't get the production we need from it (or Zeke) until he does.
