Oh yeah I don't care what people say there are certain dogs that are just more organically mean than other dogs. Never been a fan of those type of dogs.

My son's pit bull that he has owned since it was a pup is one of the sweetest dogs I've ever encountered. Even though I have only seen her when visiting him and my daughter in Denver the dog is just a sweetheart. I'm sure there are bloodlines that have a propensity for attacking folks.. but just as with most living things, there are no absolutes. Our dog isn't the least bit vicious but if she got out and someone she didn't know tried to corral her I could certainly see her not accepting that quietly. Hell she is so playful she has scratched us and a couple of neighbors just being friendly. She doesn't know that her paws have talons on the end of them... She so purty that strangers often want to run up and pet her while we walk her.. She adores attention but doesn't know she can hurt people so we have to hold onto her tightly when we're out. Frankly I can't wait till she's out of this puppy stage!

I know people that swear by their Pitt Bulls

All I know is that whenever I hear of a tragic death by dog it's almost always by this breed.
The owner should be held responsible as if he (or she) did the damage himself.
Nothing less relevant than whether or not someone knows or has a sweet Pit Bull.
Way too often tragedy strikes from dogs described exactly as such.
Like the girl killed while jogging who had her stomach eaten out.....they were such sweet, peaceful dogs.....until they weren't.

And for those who say Chiwawas bite more often.....that's like saying mosquitos bite more often than alligators.

I don't think anyone expects that a dog will never get out. The concern is that it attacks people. Regardless of breed, who wants to be attacked?

If there's an expectation that your dog will attack anyone it sees if it ever escapes, you should probably reevaluate whether or not you are responsible enough to own a dog of any breed.

Hard to disagree but the news so far is too ambiguous to make any sort of judgment. Were they provoked? Did somebody try to handle them and managed to get bit in the process? Some on this thread are condemning Zeke without knowing what actually happened and it's laughable. Unfortunately the mob mentality around here is has become the norm. Remember when this board was filled with level headed thinkers that happened to love football? Who flipped the switch?

And apparently in 2019 one of Dak's dogs got loose and bit someone. Kind of weird this keeps happening.
The Cowboys should have a provision in their contracts about players not being allowed to have dogs.

Monkeys instinctively go for the face and the family jewels.
As I sit right now, I would NEVER visit a person with a monkey as a pet.
So that pretty much rules out you hanging out with Dez or Billy Davis.

I did not know monkeys go for the face and family jewels. Having a monkey attack my family jewels has skyrocketed into the top 5 things to avoid in my life. As of this writing it is currently #1. Man just imagining the pain, wow.

Couldn't disagree more. Dogs are how they are raised to be.

Pitbulls get more recognition not because they're "mean" but because of the damage they cause when they do attack. They are physically imposing animals with a structure built for damage.

But they aren't any meaner than may other breed. Not unless they were raised to be.

???

If my daughter gets her face bitten off cause some doofus has a pitbull off it's leash in the park, I aint coming for the dog.

then you go to jail, no skin off my nose. Most of us would take the time to care for our child in that instance, but if you would prefer to prove your manhood by getting beaten up by an NFL guy, go for it.

its being undisciplined on Zeke's part. Owning attack dogs is always a problem. Anything can happen. They have a quick trigger. You never have them under control..just fenced or leashed. I got attacked by a pitbull at their house. Came to the door and could hear the barking behind the door. Door opened and the dog pushed past the owner and went for my leg. I backed up and grabbed his collar and had to lift him off the ground. The owner then stepped up and took him inside. I had punctures on my ankle. Went to the doctor and nothing serious. Point is..attack dogs are just like a loaded gun. In the wrong time..they are dangerous. Many of us understand. Many do not. Zeke is needing to take his dogs to obedience School and learn what his responsibilities are as an owner. This is going to end badly for Zeke and the dogs. We all know Zeke has some problems being accountable.
