The stupidity is mind blowing. Does he know that he's probably a cap casualty next spring and nobody is lining up to pay him?
I really don't think he's going anywhere next season. he will play better this year and he will be kept next season. His cap number next year is $11.8M, which ranks 14th among LB's. For context, fan favorites on this board Anthony Hitchens and Myles Jack have higher cap numbers than Jaylon next season. In 2023, he will rank 6th highest among LB's, but that doesn't take into consideration future LB contracts that will likely knock him back down the list.

and Jones management gave No.9 to a guy that could well be cut next year ?

wow, i thought they'd think enuff about all time legend Romo not to toss his number around as such .

... anyone gonna eventually have number #8 or No. #22 .. ??

LOL.......translate, Jerry's not putting Romo in ROH. Honestly, what has Romo done????? This is a game about post-season wins and championships. The numbers are just not there......I know it's sad and disappointing, but personal stats won't be enough IMO.

Its the Cowboys Ring of Honor,.. not the NFL Hall of Fame. Romo is one of Jerry's boyz.
You'd be delusional if you're thinking Romo won't be a part of Jerry's hand picked Ring of Honor .

Witten nor DWare who also played with Romo, but they did not win championships either, but you don't think they will be in Cowboys ROH..?

I tend to agree.......fans are burying him way too quickly after this season. In fact, I agree he could very play lights out this season but there's another factor fans are forgetting. Jerry and Stephen Jones rarely cut/release starting players who have years left on their second contract.

Witten and DWare are heading to canton..........
This brings another question ( I'm too lazy to look it up )....how many Cowboy players in the ROH NOT in the HOF?

Bad financial decision considering he will only be in the jersey for one year

Not if #9 turns him into an all-pro. ;)
Because he does things like make a big deal out of his number when his play has him on the verge of being cut.....and he doesn't seem to know or care about any of it.

It's a bad look at any rate.

Then the number switch should be the least of any fans concern.

He wasn't even top 50 last year. It would be hard for him to play worse. I expect improvement but he's no top 15 LB nor worth an 11.8M cap hit.

Reason..?
entitled, not worthy of asking and A all pro in his own mind. Dallas has given much more than he has given to Dallas. No one can argue that. No One.!!:( He is the Corvette you bought that never ran just right.
