Oh for Pete's sake. WTH? You need to take a chill pill ! That response of yours is the very definition of going off half cocked. You call me a hater (what a tired-azz phrase) yet you are really hating . . . on me . . . for one ***** thing you didn't agree with. Pure hate attacking my intelligence and calling me names . . . over what????? Personal attacks make you feel better about yourself? OK. My hate is obvious? What's obvious is nothing is obvious to you!

I like the hell outta Elliott. Like I did Smith, MBIII, Walker, Dorsett, Newhouse, Hill, and even flaky Duane Thomas . . . all the way to Garrison and Perkins when I first became a fan. The first part of my post was simply MY honest opinion(like or not the character assassination of me was out of line by you). I like him because I'm a helluva Cowboy fan. I don't criticize "my" team's players lightly and never from a standpoint of disliking the player but their performance. It is fair game ALWAYS!

The "fat" comment was tongue-in-cheek in reference to so many comments over the years saying such. Sheeesh ! A little reading comprehension goes a loooong way! Talk about clueless!!!!

Not let's engage the tool comment . . . whose the tool? It's jacked up responses like yours where people don't agree with something and go full out balz to the wall on people like me that make this board much less fun and why over the year I've participated less and less. So uptight . . . it's a freaking message board, dayum! I've never attacked a single comment on this message board (until this one) and there's been plenty I didn't agree with. Shame we can't be brother and sister fans but have to attack each other over almost NOTHING ! You'd prolly be at home out in my pasture with my donkeys!
still you:muttley:

I honestly dont see Zeke ever raising his ceiling at this point, and that doesn't mean that Zeke is done, he can still be an affective RB, but needs to have reduced carries and evolve this offense in to a shared workload.
Pollard fills part of that bill, but still hoping that we find something in camp with one of Dowdle, Olonilua, Hardy, Knox, or we bring in someone that Zeke can live with that gets cut or even on the street..
We need another big back that can share some of the wear and tear on the punishing 3 and short runs, goal line work and for closing out TOP.
Pollard is great at what he does and he still has a ceiling, but with the extended season, and PS exemption, I want to see another back that can step in and pound between the tackles, lets get back to what this teams calling card once was a very short time ago.
Gurley is only 26 and a street FA BTW...

He's fat so he will bounce but he's not likely to do any better than the past few years unless he gets more help from the O-line. I just hope he stops losing the ball.
I realize the fumbles were bad but really in the grand schemes of things he had 2 bad games 4 fumbles b2b games then one lost fumble in 13 games..not exactly coughing it up like Tiki Barber etc..

yes clean them up but i dont see this as an issue rally he had bad few games..

Problem is no running back is worth a top ten pick and no running back is worth that 2nd contract. So it’s not Zeke’s fault that the Dallas FO a made in rain on him. However if he don’t show out this year it’s time to cut bait. No matter the cap hit.

While totally true and I endorse that,, were heading to camp with this depth chart, and this current roster.
Mans getting paid, and there is still gas in the tank so burn him up and make a run, just do it smart this year, this may be the last year he is around, so use him wisely and Zeke can be a weapon when he is used correctly.
Need to find the RB3 on this team that is deserving of that role, not just taking up a roster spot for special teams only.
This team currently only has 2 RBs worthy of the role...
Zeke
Pollard
Look at all rosters around the league and tell me that is not border line thin as it gets.
I wont list all teams depth,, but for the lazy just look at the Vikings backfield with Cook, Mattison, and their new rook Nwangwu ,, this is common.

The last couple Zeke threads, have not been the same without my Zeke hater not making an appearance. Where are you? You know who you are!

Talent wise he is easily top 5. Probably higher.

I just don't think he wants IT deep down.

He has a college ring and all the money he needs.

I question that he has the heart and desire to be great.

Ezekiel Elliott is much more talented and a gifted athlete than Emmitt Smith.

One is the all time leading rusher w multiple championships. The other argues on Twitter when someone comments that he lost a step.

There have been 2 versions of Zeke...2016 Zeke and then 2017-2020 Zeke. What do you consider a "bounce back"? I think the ship has sailed on ever getting 2016 Zeke back again. I think it is very likely we will get the same 2017-2020 version of Zeke again this year.

If there were true competition in camp, my money is on Pollard getting more playing time.

Looking forward to the day Low Key Fade Elliott is off the team.

Whomever said that it depends on how the OL plays is 100% correct. But a good offseason regiment and coming in ready to play from day one should really be a huge improvement. All of those posters who tried to claim that working out with his agent in Cabo was sufficient, were clearly inaccurate. Zeke was not ready to play when he came back IMO and I think it was pretty easy to see but hopefully, he has learned that taking care of your business in the offseason matters. He's never been real good about that but now he has money, he has the contract stuff behind him so maybe he comes in ready.

At least we all hope, I'm sure.

No, that's not the problem. Not at all.

The problem is Zeke not being in tiptop shape. Period. Only Z can fix that. Up to know, he hasn't shown the desire. Guess we'll find out if the manchild will ever grow up.
