You see, here’s the thing. I didn’t like the pick at the time either, but it had nothing to do with the player. I simply knew nothing about him and based my opinion on what the media consensus was about him. But here’s the difference. I admittedly knew nothing about him, but didn’t bash the front office for making the pick because I’m not employed by an NFL team and I’m not going to pretend that I analyzed his play, went to pro days, etc. I take the wait and see approach because that’s what’s logical. Some, like you, immediately crucified the FO for the pick as if you’re the expert. That’s beyond stupid. If this guy pans out well, I’m sure you’re going to come in here and say you were wrong, right? LOL.

Some of us watch college football, do a lot of pre draft homework, and watch every minute of the draft as its happening.

If this guy pans out, then there is no me saying it, it will be a fact. And according to you, you will be wrong as well. For us to be wrong, Wright will have to be a quality starting FS.

It wasn’t so much that I didn’t like the pick. Like I said, it was the fact that I knew nothing about him. I’m in SEC country and watch little to no west coast football, primarily because it sucks. But, I’m always willing to give a drafted player a chance and refrain from calling them a wasted pick before they ever step on the field. Again, why aren’t you employed by a team? I mean with all the football genius you possess (LOL), you should send your resume immediately. I can’t imagine one of the 32 wouldn’t scoop you up.

the picks i didnt like were the 2 off. linemen...simply because i knew nothing about them.
i liked Wright as a player.
love his size.
and his physical style.
most draft folk had him in the 5th or 6th rd.
i thought the 3rd was too early.
the reaction from some was as if we took a undraftable player...which wasn't true.
good player.
hope it pans out.
we need him.

Just give it up. You’re wasting your time. There’s two on here that are beyond common sense and you’re dealing with one of them. He and Risen do nothing but post negatively about the team and start arguments. At least with Risen it’s sometimes coated with sarcasm and in jest. Not so much with this guy.

Every team in the NFL thought Tom Brady and Terrell Davis were worth no more than a 6th round pick. They thought Joe Montana was worth no more than a third round pick. They all thought Romo and Drew Pearson were not draft worthy at all. There are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of other examples. Again, it just goes to show it’s far from an exact science. The point is, there are many that constantly criticize the people that do this for a living and think they know more. Those people are full of ****.

...and add in a pinch of good fortune. They were all able to land in a spot they meshed with coaches, coaches that coached them up in a scheme thst fit. Wonder how many fall thru the cracks mis-matched

I can say with utmost confidence that if an NFL team interviewed two of us, I would get the job.
