Dak vs Deshaun Watson

Watson is better on the field and it's not even really close to me but, off the field, it's Prescott.

I guess so. Watson is better. I mean, you watch them both and Watson shows it IMO. I don't really even think it's all that hard to see. I don't like Watson off the field but on the field, he's pretty good.
The optics say Watson, but the intangibles say Dak, in my opinion

I don't know that I would go that far Ranch. I mean, Watson has gotten it done with less talent so those guys are playing for him. I really don't have a lot bad to say about Watson on the field. He's really pretty good IMO. His teammates follow him, they like him and they play for him. I think they both have that going for them.

Honestly, injuries are the only real concern I have with Watson, at this point.

I can see that, I follow both teams cause I'm from Texas, but from my experience.....I love what Dak brings with the total package. If we had Watson and Dak was in Houston I'd probably like Watson more. Lol

I think they also play diferent and have played in much diferent schemes, Watson does have good talent as far as pocket movement and arm strength, i think Dak makes better desicions with the ball and takes less sacks. If you want a balanced attack I would take Dak, if you want air raid i would probably go Watson...

Yeah, it would be real interesting to see what Watson might do in an Offense like the one we have in Dallas. He's never really had much to speak of in the way of an OL and his receiving talent has never really been all that much to speak of, outside of DeAndre Hopkins, who is now gone. I actually wonder how good he might be if he had an OL like ours, three legit WRs and a Pro Bowl level RB?

Do not covet thy neighbors wife.....Dak's our QB and I'm behind 100%

Dak was playing his best Football last year no doubt, but the OL was not crappy to start the year. It got a lot worse once the injuries started happening. But to start the year, they were decent, average but not horrible.

The OL for the Texans has been crap since day 1 for DW. The dude gets sacked an average of 3 times per game and that with being one of the more mobile QB in the league. A non mobile QB would be killed behind that line. And we have all seen what Dak was able to do with WR like Allen Hurns as the lead wR and it wasn't pretty. Compare that to Watson last year with NO WR to speak of.

Again, from a strictly talent standpoint, Watson is more talented. when you add in everything else, I would pick Dak out of the two to be the QB.
well, collins never played a down. Fredrick retired. Smith went out in the middle of game 2..... so outside of first game, where smith played...the line got craapy pretty quick.

I had also heard that part of the sack issue is on the QB....I heard a lot about Dak holding the ball too long and it leading to sacks....and the OL for watson wasn't as good, but he had some nice weapons to throw to. and yes, I agree Allen Hurns, a 4th WR on any playoff team was our #1 WR....yeah...I wonder who would do well with him...I take Brandin Cooks over Hurns any day of the week, plus the 8th day. Will Fuller is heck of a lot better than Hurns....anyone would tell you that. Prior to that he had Hopkins, probably a top 2,3 WR in the league at that time...can't tell you how many times Hopkins did magic and made acrobatic catches to save watson..

come on now

The record says Garrett was a better coach .559 winning % compared to .520 winning %. and Yes Garrett left the boys in pretty good shape, much better than he inherited. Now I know you hate him and will never admit that but doesn't make it any less true. Ask any Texan fan, the Texans are a complete dumpster fire thanks to BOB, gave up way to much for a LT, traded away the best WR in the league for nothing, the QB is refusing to play (not to mention all the off field issues), the cap is a complete mess and they have no draft capital to speak of.

Garrett left one of the best O's in the game - QB, RB, WR and OL all better than average - when healthy. The D has always been the struggle and he deserves fault for that for sure, but overall, no one in their right mind would think BOB was a better anything than Garrett.
Lol. Dallas was 6-10 in a historically bad division last year and don’t start with the Injury crap. Dalton was a good backup. You Garrett defenders crack me up.

Cooks and Fuller, while better than Hurns is not even an average NFL WR corp. For the record I would take Cooks over Hurns too but that isn't saying much. He is not a top talent - I would take our top 3 plus Cedric Wilson over Cooks , so he would be a 4th at best but more than likely a 5th WR here - that's the top talent Watson was throwing to last year.

And yes Watson does take a lot of sacks because his WR can't get open. in the first 5 games last year, Dak was sacked around 10 or 11 times - threw like 100 picks and had 400 fumbles or pretty close :) and Watson was sacked like 16 or 17 times in those first 5 games, so while our OL was not great, it wasn't as bad as Texans OL. We were still averaging 100 yards a game rushing even with all the turn overs and shootouts we were in the first 5 weeks.

So because the QB, the entire OL and most of the back up OL, starting TE and most of the CB were injured for all or most of the year and the Defense was historically bad due to a coaching change is somehow Garrett's fault? You Garrett haters crack me up. And just for the record, Garrett wasn't the coach last year in case you missed the memo so why you trying to pin a 6-10 in a bad division on him is mind blowing. It's not Garretts fault Big Mike couldn't win with the talent left behind, maybe he should have smashed a few more watermelons or something.

You have to be related to Garrett. Have to be. 10 seasons. 2 playoff wins. The most inept period in Cowboys history. How about that defense he left? They were healthy. One of the worst in league history. 10 seasons. 2 playoff wins. The guy is probably going to get fired as NYG’s OC. He is a figment in Jerry’s imagination. And yours too apparently.
