Dak vs Deshaun Watson

And yes Watson does take a lot of sacks because his WR can't get open. in the first 5 games last year, Dak was sacked around 10 or 11 times - threw like 100 picks and had 400 fumbles or pretty close :) and Watson was sacked like 16 or 17 times in those first 5 games, so while our OL was not great, it wasn't as bad as Texans OL. We were still averaging 100 yards a game rushing even with all the turn overs and shootouts we were in the first 5 weeks.

current top 3...hmmm, good question. cooks has had 5 1000 yard seasons out of 7. that's pretty goood..... he played partial his first year, I think because of injuries....gallup in three years has had one 1000 yard season. I think they are similar deep threat type players. cooks has a little more speed. perhaps you are knocking cooks because you want to make a case for watson not having any WRs.....

Hurns sucked. royally....he had one 1000 yard season and a bunch of ho hum seasons after that, one year even less than 300 yards recieving. he would be below wilson on our team, perhaps even below brown (perhaps). perhaps not even make this team.

I defended garrett for a while, but the last 3 years I couldn't any more....he should have been let go after year 6 at most, but jerry kept hanging on...and 2019 was a total joke. no new contract. no plans to keep you. superbowl or bust. it was one of the strangest years I remember, usually associated with tanking teams.....coaches fighting on the sideline, divided locker room. players not acknowledging Garrett, Jerry saying Moore reports to him. it was a total cluster F

He did, he actually had to win the job. He didn't get it handed to him and the competition wasn't a scrub. None of that is accurate with how this team treats QBs and it's a real problem IMO. I hate how this team just gives out spots, seemingly with no real competitions. I think that's a mistake but not my show so I don't run it.

Exactly. To hold Garrett on some pedestal is ridiculous. That guy with his endless azz kissing of Jerry destroyed this franchise. I think he should have been fired in 2015. How he made it past that Atlanta game where he allowed his young QB to get killed by is beyond me. Guy is a total fraud.

Well for starters Dak is a high character guy. DeShawn sounds like a disrespectful person…and their that little scandal going on
 
Notice BOTH rankings excludes Watson.......for this position more than any other, character matters. You are the ultimate leader of men, the face of the franchise, and likely the highest-paid player on the team.


 
I think If both were to be put behind each others OL they would fair about the same. When they both came out I give Watson the edge but Dak has improved every year he has been in the league. Now with these allegations who knows how he will re coup from it. I almost feel sorry for Houston you notice I said almost. lol

Nope Dak is better, if he had Deandre Hopkins for his first few years and a competent defense he would have thrown for 5,000 yards every season.

Watson not in the list as the likelihood of him playing are very low so why rank player that may not play this year? its not character issues or that they think hes not top 10 they left him out due to the possibility of suspension..
