Cowboys to be on Hard Knocks

How is Jacksonville not the better choice? Trevor Lawrence, Tebow, and Urban Meyer aren’t even in the same universe as the Cowboys when it comes to draw.

All about money for HBO and the NFL.

Cowboys on opening night and Cowboys on Hard Knocks. Tells me the NFL is pulling out all the stops to draw fans. Could be they feel it slipping away.

I think in the past NFLN showed them after they aired on HBO. Can't remember how long after though, if a week or a month.
They used to do it with Inside the NFL a few days after, not sure if they still do.

I don't have NFLN either and still don't intend to watch.

I don't blame Jerry or the team for this and I'm not going to start name calling or somehow acting like the players chose to be on Hard Knocks because they want attention like some of you idiots. Some of y'all will see a player walking into a grocery store and somehow turn that into them being lazy or entitled.

That said, I absolutely did not want this distraction and wish they had picked another team. As I understand it the NFL picks the team. I'm sure Jerry had some say in this but I doubt he was lobbying for this as hard as y'all think.

I don't think it will be a distraction. The 1st time it was the premier, and a lot of hype after the SB wins and such. Though it was 5 or 6 years later.
It was a distraction, though the team was not what it once was. They really weren't SB contenders.
No one knew what to expect, and they made adjustments, HBO did after that. As for the camera's not to be so intrusive.

And being only 5 episodes, I think this team is more focused than back in 2001. I think they will have it together more as to not be distracted.
Jerry will be over the top as usual though.

Well, I do think it is a distraction, but nothing major, IMO. It certainly isn’t worth fans freaking out about.

Camp has so many fans and so much media there anyway that there are a ton of distractions no matter what.

In fact, last season probably had less fans and media than any other season, and the lack of distractions didn’t really help the team anyway.

Bottom line is that they need to work hard and focus nap matter what. The season doesn’t hang on hard knocks, that’s for sure.
