I was raised to work and respect my boss.....I was also taught by my father to move on, if I didn't respect my boss. When I became a boss, I fired 26 people in 4 weeks, that's very tough to do, but I hired 26 people to replace them. I respect Jerry, he won us 3 titles, it's not easy to win championships.....some people are very spoiled and have no clue. I wonder how many of you work for a boss that you don't respect? I never did.....

For some people, life is easier when they are given clear guidelines. They accept rules and hierarchies without questioning them. In their lives, they continue to do so. These people respect others only for the simple reason: that they are placed above them. Not because they are more competent or educated or just people. There are other people who respect others, simply because they are also human beings.

For previously mentioned, this seems impossible. They are so trapped in their hierarchies, in their own leaderships, on which they are so psychologically dependent that they have to condemn everything that goes against their own ideas. These people may also have a high IQ, but they do not use it advantageously. They are so trapped in their own psychological deficits that they only use their supposed intelligence to justify their own (deficient) point of view.

Good post.....I was taught to work and pay the bills, when I got into a position that I was the boss, I tried to treat my people well and provide a good work environment.

brought all the money to assemble the team around and go buy players,,
Question - can you name all these players that Jimmy and Jerry bought.

The only one I can think of is Deion and that was after they already won 2 Super Bowls.

wasn't a hard salary cap and FA was new plan b crap etc

So they had depth like the NYY, 3 deep and brought in Haley paid ES 3 times top dollar paid all player who needed paid top dollar as he does now but with bigger implications with the cap and FA is by far different....

the owner buys everything, not Jimmy, Jerry , no money no owner no HC named Jimmy and al the asst Jimmy wanted to keep Jerry paid more then market to make sure they stayed..yes that is buying players, coach's, and all things that go with a TEAM..

get it yet..??they did it together and nether did it apart..they need equal CREDIT ..

I think the biggest thing I have a problem with is him not realizing he is probably a great boss (owner) besides the fact he does not realize he needs to hire someone to be the boss of. 100% of the problems he has come from not hiring a GM and holding him accountable....its a no win job to try and GM your own company as someone has to set goals and be held accountable.

So if I understand correctly, even though I might be the one buying the groceries for my wife to cook, we both get the credit for a great meal? I could screw up boiling water.

That is essentially the dynamic you had with Jimmy and Jerry. Though Jerry has proven since 1996 that he's the one burning the meals.

Thanks for this thread, @Ranching. The disrespect toward Jerry Jones in other threads here is extremely appalling. You people don't know what you are talking about or are just truly ungrateful maggots. It's you people that are the worst of worst fans of the NFL. You truly do not know how good you have it with Jerry Jones as the owner/GM of your favorite NFL franchise.

Did you really say that with a straight face? Please, oh great one, tell us how great Jerry has made it for the fan base since 1996. Are we supposed to just sit back and grin whenever anyone reminds us how many playoff wins the franchise has in the past 25 years? Just bend over and take it because Jerry is such an awesome owner/GM?

This dude only cares about his Forbes listing.

so you OWN your wife and bought her what via mail order brides? if shes your slave yes by all means take full credit because you were smart enough to choose her wisely as she cooked better then the other choices and pay her well to do so,

now back to reality's..

dude dont get off track with horribly used analogy's. There absolutely no Jimmy and 3 sbs without Jerry..not even close to a proper analogy and a descriptive dynamic..Jerry was the owner, president, ceo who brought the money and the Idea to go after Jimmy an unproven NFL HC from college who the entire state of tx was pissed he also fired Landry to make this move..so yes that why he gets equal credit..he wasnt just the owner he was brand new owner who never owned a team and brought in a HC to replace legend and took the risks and all the heat to do so.

if you all are so blind by our HOF Owner that you cant give him credit for buying the team, hiring jimmy and allowing and approving all transactions and moves by Jimmy well that on you and we call those Haters..

last response because stubborn hard headed haters just arent worth that many responses..

There's no super bowl wins without Jimmy, unless you truly think Jerry could have done it alone. He hasn't been able to do it since Jimmy left, soooooooooooooo.

Oh noooooooooo, I am being disrespectful for the main culprit in 25 years of mediocrity. How will I ever be able to redeem myself.

Right.... and Jerry hasn't been able to replicate the success without Jimmy. But I digress - this about the greatness of Jerry, the dude who gropes strippers on his party bus. His wife must be so proud.

ad no Jimmy at all withiotu Jerry..it starts with jerry chicken and egg theory if you thick headed blind jerry haters would actual see through the blinding hate

Its equal credit share from fans who arent clueless and realize how important the actual buying of the team and choosing the hc and firing the old one was in history...

none of it happens without it ordered in the actual factual timeline..

you act as if Jimmy was already here and jerry inherited him, umm not even close...

Jerry finds money and makes a deal to buy the team ,goes to Jimmy and asks him to come be his HC..

which came

first,

too easy isnt it... :facepalm::muttley:

Come on, man, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that without Jimmy being hired Dallas is still sitting on 2 Lombardi's. Its the only smart decision I will give Jerry credit for in the entire time he has owned the team.

Well lets see...

- Yes no cap and no real free agency but for Plan B which were really no name players so its not like you insinuated - that they could just buy players.

- You bring up depth, what advantage did Jerrys' money have with that, that other teams didn't have?

- Yes they TRADED for Haley something many teams could have done.

- You mentioned Jerry paid top dollar to keep -players... Yes like most all teams did, do you think other teams didn't have to pay their stars?
There was no real free agency so players didn't have that much power, the only thing they could do was sit out which is what ES did.
He played it smart, coming off a SB win and rushing title, Boys going for back to back SBs...then the Boys losing their first 2 games, he had Jerry by the cojones. Any owner in that situation pays Emmitt.

- As far as the coaches - Norv was there for just 3 years (91-93). Dave Wannstedt came with Jimmy in 89 and was almost gone after the first SB win, but Bill Cowher beat him out for the Pitt job, it wasn't Jerrys' money, cause the very next year he left for the Chicago job.

now you are trying to make prediction and that not possible to KNOW, ok Nostradamus , stick to facts!!

it doesnt matter ok Marty McFly

erase the moment Jerry buys the team from History, before he goes to Jimmy to hire him and fire Landry..

it erases all things after that..

man you are thick if it weren't for Jerry Jimmy may never have had shot at the nfl..or even been close to as successful already proven with the dolphins and took off from there as well..

you say stuck on 2 well that didn't happen because Jerry DID BUY THE TEAM AND HIRE JIMMIY that the order of facts,,

also a fact in 1989 how was the state of the DC ownership, last i heard it was close to filing for bankruptcy havent won in long time and ONLY HAD 2 SB wins to that point..

now they have 5 became of what action

Jerry buying the team comes first on this action of fact..

so both had the credit and thats the only way it can work
