They have that receiver.. his name is Noah Brown, who is reportedly having an outstanding camp.
I can only hope. I have said before...he's been a little disappointing. But the deal is he did not have a ton of playing time at Ohio State. Lots of talent.

I think that's what he needs. Playing time! If not here than somewhere. With CD, Gallup, emerging Jarwin...here could be just the ticket right?

I still think Coop will be the best receiver on the roster this season. Gallup and Lamb will provide more highlights but Coop will move the chains and deliver the clutch plays not to mention draw the double teams that open things up for everyone else.

You know, I thought I was a die-hard fan, I really did, I didn't think there was anything that I wouldn't go through to get my fix of Dallas Cowboys, but I draw the line at Fish and ****NOT-AN-OFFICIAL-SOURCE***, I just can't do it

Man I thought I was the only one on both of them dudes. Fish is widely disliked but that ****NOT-AN-OFFICIAL-SOURCE*** guy seems to be praised as this well connected insider, when the fact is he gets all is info from the internet just like us. I do appreciate his time that he puts into his film work, but his opinions without NFL experience or insight, means just enough as any other poster here.

Putting my tin foil hat on................. is it possible the Cowboys could be leaking stuff like this so that when they cut him and keep Gallup after the season, they can justify the cut?

I have been saying it for a while. Cooper will be gone next year if Gallup has another good year. Gallup will be cheaper then Cooper's deal and is a better value.

It is hilarious how all of a sudden we need a new backup QB. The offense got destroyed two days ago with Dak....what were there, 5 interceptions? Then yesterday the same? Nothing really changed from the day before it was just a different guy getting picked.

What does this mean? Everyone is sure we have a great offense. So is this defense for real? Heck, they don't even have Tank and it seems as if they are dominating. Of course, defense is ALWAYS ahead of the offense to start....but this is definitely an interesting start to camp.

Agree...and I think it will be Cooper that is gone.

This may be true but only if Lamb can make the leap to all pro level. I think he would need to show that he can take over the Coop role before the Cowboys would part with Amari. Don't forget that after Dak went down last year Cooper was the only one of the three who stayed anywhere near the same level of production. That speaks volumes to me as to what he is as a player. Lamb gets a pass because he was a rook but Gallup fell way off after Dak was gone and that should be concerning to people who want him to become the 1b to Lamb's 1a.

That's why Raiders traded him. Now we'll do the same.

He had a reputation for disappearing on the field prior to Dallas giving up a 1st round draft pick for him, he continued that reputation yet Dallas gave him $20M+ a year only to see that reputation continue.

Dallas is the model of an inept franchise.

I'd try to keep Cooper, Lamb and Gallup. In today's NFL the passing game is big, having two very good receivers is pretty much essential, need one very good "spare" receiver if you can get one. Of course if Jarwin or another receiver should "blossom", then maybe 2 very good receivers would be enough. But assuming the defense gets better but isn't top-10, the offense will have to carry the team....

I'm with you on that but just don't think paying 2 receivers top money is feasible. Again, you just don't know and the Jarwin variable you mention is a good one too. I mentioned this in the Schultz thread but I do think you feature Jarwin to see if he can show that explosive ability while staying healthy. If so, you let him play out the remaining 2 years of his contract after this season. Then you'll have Lamb and Jarwin (or other TE) to pay. So we basically have a 3-ish year window before we then have to start thinking about Dak again and other major offensive decisions without even counting if another key piece of the team has become so valuable that we don't want to lose them. Tough business maneuvering. That's why I just pay attention to the games and be entertained. No need to get all riled up about the money side. It'll all come out in the wash.
