Most amazing Cowboys coaching stat:

Only 3 HC to win Coach of the year.
Tom, Jimmy and Jason

Jason did a lot of good things for Dallas.

Too much #JasonHate on here.

Especially since the new HC looks like a bust without ARodgers.

He hired his buddy to run the defense.

McCarthy doesn't excite me in the least bit. He just doesn't seem like a very dynamic person, which is what I want running my team.

Quinn has me excited. It seems the defense is buying into what he is selling. They could make a huge turnaround.

The problem for McCarthy is he's not leading one side of the ball, he didn't bring in the OC, he did bring in a bad DC, and now has brought in another DC of to be determined skill. His only clear contribution was a horrendous failure.

the biggest choker in Cowboy history! You should raise the bar a little bit. Yet you crap all over a super bowl winning coach who had no offseason or preseason! A lot of good things?? Lmao

Jethros induction isn’t football related . His induction was for his contributions to the league which are notable.

How’s it not football related? He got executive of the year for his “GM” work in 2015. Landry and Johnson both went on to win championships afterwards or no one would care about their coach of the year awards either. Build and capitalize, not choke and fizzle out again and again.

His induction into the HOF was not football related .

Yep - he’s been great for every franchise but this one.
Financially his revolutionary revenue brilliance has benefitted all teams in the league . And why he was inducted for his contributions.

Most of all it’s provided the Cowboys the financial stability for Jethro to continue his dysfunctional football ways without sustained success on the field.

Which was not football related .

of course it is. It’s completely determined by the success on the field that season! The fact that you try to incorporate Garrett into the Landry/Johnson conversation based on coach of the year is ridiculous and laughable! See how memorable Jerry’s award is, same goes for Garrett. Meaningless garbage!

I had two big problems with JG. He wouldn’t take responsibility for L’s and he lost every chess match he was in.

The Cowboys front office never takes responsibility for Ls but you darn sure had better give them credit for Ws in the early 90s.

They just fire scapegoats and continue business as usual. What year is it now?

LMAO - Garrett totally blew as our HC. He couldn’t motivate a man dying of thirst to drink from Niagra Falls. He’s in the group of three known as worst Cowboys coaches ever - Gailey, Campo and Garrett.

The bottomline is one award is football related regardless how meaningless you view it.

Regardless how we view Garrett, his record says he was arguably the best HC in Jethro’s “ puppet” era.

That’s not an endorsement of his coaching abilities but more of a slam on our dysfunctional organization this era.

Despite more experienced and qualified HC this era like with Bill and Wade they didn’t have any more success. And it’s still left to be seen if Mike will have anymore either .
