The last three times we played Brady it was close. Not too worried about the BUCS. It you want to be the champ, you have to beat the Champs. I would not have it any other way.

I remember the saints were supposed to blow us out in New Orleans 3 years ago. Don't think for a second Brady is not looking past us.
2019: Cowboys 3, Patriots 13
2015: Patriots 30, Cowboys 6 (13-3 halftime, 20-3 at 3rd qtr end) not close
2011: Cowboys 16, Patriots 20 - Dallas led 16-13 at the start of 4th qtr
NE 5-0 v. DAL with Brady as QB

I literally could not care less what any TB player, TB media member, or TB fan has to say about us. All I care about is winning. Talk is the cheapest kind of team sport activity.

All I care about is winning Sept. 9. That’s all the talking we need.
Me too. But I get SO TIRED of supposed fans that are SO convinced we’re doomed and can’t stop the endless complaining.

If any team has a "right" to be overconfident, I imagine the Buccaneers would certainly be that team. I'm sure the Bucs' players and Brady, in particular, has been preached to not to enter this game overly cocky and take a win for granted. Tom Brady is always well prepared to deliver the best version of himself possible. Whether his teammates are of the same mind remains to be determined.

Game one of any season is normally one that is contested with a generous degree of pride and passion. I don't expect this one to be any different, at least, let's hope so. The Bucks will probably be favored by around a touchdown or so, if my idea of the outcome is nearly accurate. According to the ideas of their fans, that seems minimally fair to say. Let's hope our guys have other ideas, though. I'd be very pleased if that's, indeed, the case.

I think last year is PROOF....that Brady inspired the whole team. He will do so again this year...they are working very hard to stay focused.

Sounds kinda like you think we’ll win, and are doing a preemptive “anyone can win week one” thing to downplay it. But IMHO, that’s terribly flawed, because we all KNOW that Goat Boy will have his team extra jacked to beat America’s Team in Primetime to kickoff the season.

Us beating them in week one is certainly possible, but it likely won’t happen, because aside from Dallas and their fans, NO ONE wants that. They want us for rating$, nothing more.

You're assuming too much from what I said. I believe the Jets could beat Tampa in week 1. That's how unpredictable week 1 is. That's all I am saying. The Cowboys can beat Tampa 38-10 in week one and get crushed in the playoffs by them. Week one means nothing. It has always meant nothing. It has meant nothing since the mid 80s. Other than what it is in the win/loss standings. It's not a week where you can say, yeah, we're better than them. You can think it, but later on in the year it might be totally different.

I miss the old days when we started with the doggy Giants, Fins, and D.C. and these forums were on Dak Fire baby!
Once again Dak reality set in and home for the playoffs as we couldn't even beat a depleted Eagles team for the division title in our final game?
Oh, the cherry was we only scored 9 pts (3 FG) against the dirty birds.....
Tom Brady watch out Dak is coming to town......

i watched a youtube video a week or so ago about their training camp. biggest nugget was they said AB looked like old AB. he was torching everyone. if so, they have as good a top 3 receivers as we do. better top 4. better hope all these db's aren't just training camp stars.

The Bucs fans should be confident. I would be too if I was a Bucs fan. They won the SB. But I have a feeling this is the year Brady starts to look like a 44 year old QB. Nobody beats father time. The Cowboys need to get after Brady. Don't be afraid to rush 5 or even 6. Make him get off his spot.
umm he already beta father time... so hes ahead of that curve ....his team is so good around him he can play longer then most. Everyone been saying he will fall off cliff for 6 yrs now..his own coach/gm was trying to replace him the last 4 years he was in NE and that didnt work out..and they traded away two solid qb replacement prospects..then they finally let him go had poor season season and tb12 wins sb his first season with new team..

sure eventually he will retire but using old stereotypes on player like him with narratives time will catch up , well it's been failed notion for while now..

I believe he will retire soon anyway, maybe this next offseason but wanted to go out on his team nd NE was pressuring him to retire..hes already won that narrative and now will just add that cherry on top before walking away on his own terms as the GOAT QB..

It's one thing to have a different opinion. It's entirely different when you spam the board on every other thread about that opinion. Most of those guys are straight trolling.
This is true. However, they keep getting fed so they keep the energy to troll. It’s not like their tactics or opinion will change, so I am not sure why people continue to argue with them. Agree to disagree and move on.

Of course you’re right. A win or loss in week one doesn’t carry NEAR the weight as a playoff rematch. In the grand scheme it means nothing. IMHO, however, an opening day win, especially against the GOAT/world champs, plants a seed of positivity in a team’s psyche that removes the intimidation obstacle in the playoff rematch.

It’s interesting, because if we DID beat them silly, most would scoff, and say it was a fluke, but some would sit up and take notice. Future opponents would bring their “A+” game. Conversely, if they clobbered us, future opponents might only bring their “C” game.
