Jaylon's reaction is way, way too slow. He already saw the RB without the ball. Why does it take him a few seconds to react?

Not only is his reaction time slow. He processing of the play is not natural and it takes him time to realize what the play is and its already too late.

He can't change direction, either.

Doesn't matter he still needed to make the right read which he seldom does. He needed to follow the RB to the flats.

Maybe or did they have him reading qb. Because nobody had him, that's a tough play for any player.

you quick to show a negative play that would've been hard for any player with both the RB and QB rolling, nobody had the qb either.
But you wouldn't post the positive play he made on 2nd and 4 @ the 5:30 mark. agenda much?

Exactly. When you look at the film you see LVE reads the guard and takes one step to his right before realizing the play is going to his left, he runs right past Jayless who (appears to be running in mud) before forcing the running back out of bounds. I'm going to be real disappointed if it's not LVE and Parsons week one. That half a million dollar number change is not working.

if you also look Jaylon took a step to the right too, at that point he wasn't getting back, neither would most LBs

Do you have a clip of that play?

Jaylon’s sole read on that play was the RB and he he screwed the pooch. Got sucked inside when he never should have.

based on what?he could've had qb. we dont know which one he had unless you know what Quinn wanted. if he took RB, nobody had the qb

you focused on the negative play instead of how the negative play happened.

his change of direction was very very very slow regardless of being in the wrong place or not....it took him four steps to head in the right direction and then he was very very slow to accelerate..... minimally if he had any real athleticism, he could have turned, and quickly accelerated and reach top speed....

and if you looked at his left leg, you would see its choppy running and the foot kind of dragging as if he is purposely lifting his knee up so it doesn't drag..his right knee points forward in a natural running style...but the left leg ain't right....in the NFL you get killed on short and medium range plays like that....it explains why he is always trailing on plays....there is definitely something not right with him.

His change of direction was slow there, but I've also seen him make plays, You like to focus on the negatives be balanced.

I've been very negative towards Jaylon the last 2 years but I'm holding out hope that he's going to rebound in a major way under Quinn.

what plays? not saying he hasn't or doesn't. but anything that requires him to drop back, or move laterally from side line to side line, or change direction quickly is going to be challenging for him. if he attacks straight ahead, hits a hole or can hold close to a receiver crossing his area, he can be effective....but at this point, not just on this play, but others I have seen, he doesn't have much real athleticism left. he has trouble pushing off of the left foot as you would do in a normal running with the ball of your foot, thus can't generate much power or acceleration....reminds me kind of Bo Jackson running bases with a bad hip....(I know, I know I know, its not his hip).....
