Game Day ***Cowboys vs Buccaneers Post-Game Thread***

I expected the Cowboys to lose and I thought it would be something like what we saw, although I did not think the Cowboys would keep it that close. The Cowboys needed to move Brady off his spot to win and I think they did that less than a handful of times all night. That last FG drive reminded me of so many defensive failures the last few years. 1:28 left on the clock and 1 timeout. We all knew the Bucs would win because the defense couldn't even slow them down a little.

This team has 3 weaknesses. The combination of Baidasz and Connor Williams on the OL, the lack of a DT who can push the pocket, and the CBs are pretty average. I will give them credit, after getting burned by AB in the first half, they did a good job shutting him down in the 2nd.

In the end, there are no moral victories. The got 4 turnovers and still gave up 31 points.

CeeDee needs to stop dropping the ball. I think he had 2 drops tonight. One gave the ball back to the Bucs and the other pretty much killed a drive.

If a QB puts up numbers like Dak has done over his last four starts, you expect his team to win. Madden like numbers for Dak but we still lose. That's me calling out special teams, the defense and play calling.

Gotta win in two out of the three phases of the game.

But if we’re going off small sample size, I might’ve been equally right about Gregory being a JAG.

All that being said, the other CB is a huge hole everyone in the NFL sees. We have to trade for someone like the Saints just traded for Roby.

The defense, Lamb and our kicker lost this one.

Not really, the def got the turnovers that led to 10 easy points and the fumble recovery stopped TB at the 2 so + 7 for cowboys. That is 17 points because of the defense.
The kicker,while bad early on made what was almost the winning kick, and had he made the earlier kicks, the game would have gone a different path.
Lamb, had a drop and a high miss, that hurt, but he also made some good plays.
Bottom line is they lost as a team, no one player caused the loss.

The defense played pretty good considering they were playing last years best in the nfl.
The offense played good, same thing.
Our coaching was better than expected, but I felt there was way too much passing and not enough running.So maybe not a very good game plan.

it was always a schedule loss given the circumstance and that was before Dak getting hurt in the preseason and Zack missing. Played well despite it.

This is why I was in favor of starting Wright. Make no mistake, he would have been burned by Antonio Brown, too, but he also might have made a play or two.
